Thanks for updating the list Jay. Can't argue with the batman RRP taking #1 spot

I think what you're saying is a given and we all understand that (I hope anyway) - OP is asking for opinions, and I think we're all aware they're just opinions. These type of threads do seem to crop up pretty often, but I don't think there is anything wrong with them. One that popped up in General a while back was asking which artists were 'garbage' and I think a number of people rightly had a bit of an issue with the wording used there.
Art is subjective. Some people like renaissance art, street, modern, impressionist, etc. clearly some of the artists being mentioned here have a fan following and have been around for years.
Not a fan of skottie young, but I get why he has fan base.

I don't think some Jsc fans don't know how gangsta this photo is. putting a 9.8 set is not easy and cheap either.

A saga rrp blue 9.8 hit 2k recently. Kicking myself for selling my copy for 1k last year. Doh !

Congrats Jerome!! You completed and added all the big campbell books to your collection!
I suggest a group a shot of the wolverine 1, siege 3, 510 partial sketch, BP #1 partial sketch and the danger girl ruby red.

Grades don't mean squat to me on commissions. For me I grade them to authenticate the artwork and signature and protect the book. Nothing more. I'd pay the same for this book at 7.5 as I would a 9.8. Amazing book tho man. I don't get jealous easy but i'm pretty green right now!
Agree with you 100%. Its all about the artwork. The book can be 1.0 or NG for all I care.

There's probably only three books that I truly would invest in with moderns.
1. Walking Dead 1
2. BA 12
3. NYX 3
Walking Dead has probably peaked IMO.
In terms of most upside. Saga #1. Sure the RRP is the book to own for that series, but that book well over 1k .
I do like BA12 and NYX 3 as picks.

It doesn't come up real often in 9.8 anyway. I waited for a while then jumped on one right when it hit eBay.
Still one of the best looking psylocke covers IMO

Is the x-force 5 still available
Good luck finding that book for $180 in a 9.8.

If the 667 is the modern age king . Then the xmen 510 partial sketch is the modern age queen
Btw sorry to the OP. I would be more mad at the seller for not honoring the sale.?

I need to get caught up

There's no guarantees for 9.8 or 9.6. If the book(s) arrived less then NM condition, say a fold or a tear.. then I would contact for a replacement. But spine stress, color rub, or any other defect is luck of the game. If 9.8's were so easy to come by then there wouldn't be any demand.
JSC's people are very good when it comes to taking care of their customers, but my advice would be not to contact them in this case.. 9.2 or higher is acceptable.
Best option is join a 9.8 grading club or order a few copies and hope one is 9.8 worthy.

Another person_too_unaware_of_social_graces is pre-selling the signed book.
These flippers are ridiculous

Jealous! I heard two guys who pulled the remarks ordered unsigned copies. Any idea if this guy ordered a signed set or single book?

Thanks for sharing. That was a touching write up and shows what a great person he is. Rest in peace.

Hope you're all loaded up after this new trailer!
Looks so sick !

Yes, you can still have bindery tears and get a 9.8. one example is Saga #1. It's a thick book with lots of pages.I believe every saga #1 has a bindery tear and is a manufacturing issue. Don't think any will be graded higher than 9.8 because of it.

If it was a full blown sketch on a blank and not a remark , I bet he would get more takers.
