  1. One time Junk Donkey gave me 300 copies of Walking Dead 100.

I either gave them away or threw them in the garbage.

    I am dumb.

Glad I hung onto those 10 copies of Walking Dead 108 I bought in 2013, just sold 2 9.8's for a $100 each

    I am smart.

I sold four 9.8s of this book right when it came out for an average of $120 each. I just found two raw copies in my long box the other day. Glad I kept some around.

  2. The Walking Dead #100 cover A busted $50 on 3 separate occasions yesterday. This book was in the $25 to $30 range in previous weeks/months. This was the 1st appearance of Negan anywhere to the best of my knowledge. It makes sense that this one gets the boost after last night's show....unless the SDCC cover was earlier...

For the price range, I think that's a good bump. My bets are still on the 2nd print, though it already had a higher buy-in the past month or so.

I agree. Seems to be 2 different camps when it comes to collecting. Guys like me who want the originals (1st print) only and a new generation of collector who want the shorter printing even if that version is 2nd or later printing. The first group seems to spend the majority of their big $ on older books while 2nd group seems to concentrate their dollars on modern books. I think it all works out very nicely together. Both books will see success due to different groups of people collecting. Based on the fact that this is a modern, the 2nd print will most likely win out in the end.

I'm usually a first print guy too. I think the main reason (besides the print run) that the 2nd print is going for more is because Negan is on the cover. Also, a ton of first print variants don't help, I don't think.

  4. It SHOULD be Glenn. Not only to be faithful to the comic, but to return to the feeling that no one is safe. Right now, especially after the dumpster shenanigans, it feels that many of the characters are untoucheable and that really begins to take away from the anxious feeling viewers get from be worried that it could be their favorite character's demise every week.

Eugene dying is far less significant than Glenn dying. They already copped out by having Denise replace Abe as far is victim of Dwight. These characters shouldn't be untoucheable.

I still feel like it will be Glenn. He got away with a lot of cheap situations earlier in the season (the dumpster, the hoard closing in until Abraham shoots them all at the last second, etc.). Plus, when the group first goes to the Hilltop, Maggie is the one who says that the trade "will cost us something." Since SHE is the one who had that line and not another character, I feel like it's all pointing toward Glenn dying.

  5. Sold a game to rekons6660 today. My ask was $25, he offered $19, and I accepted. As soon as I accepted his offer, I got an email for a cancellation request. He said he "can rent it cheaper from GameFly."

Not comic related, but I blocked him just in case.

  6. Does it get better after the first three episodes? The wife and I find all the characters really annoying.

    IMO.... no.

There's a new character introduced near the end that has promise for season 2, but the family pretty much stays the same throughout.

    This.

I felt the same way. I watched every episode and can't even remember if I bothered watching the finale. It wasn't HORRIBLE, but I never felt like I cared for the characters or what happened to them. That's the main difference with the Walking Dead - people care about them so when something happens or someone dies, it has a better effect. I disliked just about every character in Fear TWD...

  7. what should I do if I buy a CGC book and it arrives damaged because it was only shipped in a bubble mailer and the seller will not pay return shipping?

    grinder67 is his name

    I got the book damaged

I requested a refund + return shipping through PayPal

He said to ship the book back

I asked if he was going to refund return shipping

    He did not respond

I gave him the option to partial refund $12 (reholder) + $5 shipping to CGC for the reholder

He refused and refuses to pay return shipping

He shipped it in a bubble mailer with no additional protection

    Post it here:

Sounds like you might want to think about a Probation List nomination. I'd also post your information here:
