  1. I requested my first cancellation this morning. Nothing to do with buyer's remorse (you don't get much of that when dealing with low-grade books), it just seemed like the bidding was a little on the suspicious side. As I said, this is my first time - do I have to do anything besides sending the buyer a (nice)email? (which I already did) Do I get some kind of notification?

Why would you cancel? There were higher feedback bids, and it looks like one guy with zero feedback put in a max of $44. You beat him with your bid and now you cancelled. The zero-feedback bidder only has 27% activity with the seller and actually won an auction from another seller.

Within the past week, I've had three people with zero feedback buy books from me. Everybody starts somewhere. In my opinion, you just made this seller (with over 700 positive feedback) lose a sale for his book.

  2. Looks like the Walking Dead #132 is consistently selling in the $15-25 range here lately while #138 is around $5-12 give or take. I thought #138 would take off, but for right now, #132 seems to be the book. I wonder how long that will last  .

  3. On the back of the Outcast release, sold 2 #1 9.8 copies in less than 1 day -- one at $90 and one at $100 (plus shipping).

I think all I have left is a raw run up to 14 or so.

good to hear, I hope the CGC 9.8 prices start creeping up consistently over $100. I just have 1 so don't want to sell too cheap

    I'm in the same boat.

  4. I agree. Vulture doesn't cut it. But they've pretty much ruined everyone else.

I know it's a reboot or whatever, but my memory still remembers the terrible Doc Ock, Venom, Lizard and Electro.

Sandman, was actually a good surprize. Rhino was terrible, but can be redeemed since it was mostly a cameo.

I cannot see him doing Kraven. Which would be awesome.

Not sure what villain would really suit him to be honest

Terrible Doc Ock? I'll have to disagree with that one. The first two ASM with Tobey Maguire were great.

  5. Out of stock

you people drained Midtown's mighty reserves.

still some left at TFAW though...

Edit: went from 63 to 28 copies soon after I posted TFAW had 154

    I picked up 5 copies.

I don't think I've ever regretted buying multiples of TWD

Edit: Midtown and TFAW both sold out.

I might pick up a couple more tomorrow at the LCS for one reader at least.

  6. Player's Choice.

Every time I've been to Andy's shop he NEVER has Silver Age books (or anything decent at all) so this report REALLY surprises me.

The only ones I found were in the newly acquired stock, so maybe it was just this once. The oldest issues I found were ASM #58 (which I would've bought, but the bottom cover was cut out for a coupon) and X-Men #65.

  7. This isn't technically a garage sale/flea market/antique mall find, BUT I wanted to share my pickups from a shop in Myrtle Beach this weekend. I looked for a thread for pickups, but only found this one and eBay.

Anyway, the shop was having a 50% off white sticker sale and had recently put out newly acquired stock. I snagged these four for only $10 total. I could've gotten more SA Spidey, but they were in really bad shape and not too much of a steal.

Power Comics? Brian is a board member here. He runs a GREAT shop.

    Player's Choice.

I don't believe I've heard of Power Comics. The only place I usually go when I'm in town is Apocalypse Comics and Player's Choice. I've been to a third called Coastal Comics, but that was a couple years ago. I'll have to look up Power Comics next time!

  8. Starlords pappy is the new Hyperion (Marcus Milton). This should be known by now and I'm suprised it has not been spoken about yet. Doesn't matter who believs it or not nor what "forum wise guy" will try to pick this apart. I've not the time or energy to show why I know this. Realy anybody that pays aren't in to detail should know this already. This is not a "pump and dump" it is only a public announcement to the collecting community. Do what you will with this information and make some money$$$ I'm not going to name modern issues of interest. You should be able to figure it out. Issues and variants are readily available and found dirt cheap. If you have something negative to say?? Please...have a great evening ;)
