  1. He said he was originally thinking once a quarter. It's once a month now.
  2. This is fun to watch! Some great offers by everyone so far.
  3. I think in the buyer's mind the deal breaker was somebody selling books they didn't have yet and saying they were being shipped out.
  4. The CGC thing would be my first thought, but once the seller said he was shipping the books, I would imagine that's not the case here. To the buyer: did he say they were coming back from CGC or were they raw books?
  5. Better then the ASM 2 movie? I haven`t played it yet. I do hear that Kraven had a big role in the video game? The storyline was still cluttered with a lot of villains like the movie, but Kraven did have a big part. Carnage was in there too.
  6. No way they can get 14 issues released when they barely got six in almost two years.
  7. As a seller, whoever buys something from you, just send them a PM with your PayPal address. They'll send the payment through there.
  8. I loved NWM. It was at the top of my pull list. I kept holding out hope that it would get back on track
  9. Thanks mate! I am looking to expand the collection in the coming months. Going to try and get a few more pieces of OA, sketches and other stuff. I love the little things like the Toe tags and the little lego figure, hoping Tim and mike come up with more stuff like that Awesome collection! I can't imagine ever having one so large.
  10. I would raise the concern with the seller and maybe publicly, but I don't think I'd nominate for the probation list. That ship has sailed. This is the new and improved PL; "you nominate em, we add em." Weren't you one of the first to say it was worthy of a PL nomination? Agreed. But if he doesn't - Probation List? Why not? If people are placed on the list for not completing a transaction, when there is no real loss, then why would someone who overcharges and actually causes a real loss not be a candidate? I don't disagree with the nomination. I think he deserves to be on the list. My comment was geared toward what feels like very fast additions to the list when situations are not cut and dry. Ahhh. It might've seemed quick, but the seller was notified via PM and didn't make much of an argument to not be added. The buyer took all the steps, provided screenshots, info, and the proof needed. Justin (and I feel like one other person) didn't agree with the nomination from the get go, but the majority all seemed to agree it was worthy. So he was added.
  11. What`s strange is two superhero movies I did like better then ASM 2 that I reviewed threads got less views and responses then this Spider-Man thread combined. X--MEN : DAYS OF FUTURE PAST review. CAPTAIN AMERICA:WINTER SOLDIER review. Yes, I enjoyed both CAPTAIN AMERICA:WINTER SOLDIER and X--MEN : DAYS OF FUTURE PAST better then ASM 2. (thumbs u What I think happened for such heated debate was more then a few people can`t wait for Marvel to get back the rights to Spider-Man, and that has sort of developed a bias against Sony`s ASM franchise. I will say it again ASM 2 was an enjoyable flick in my opinion. Was it at CAPTAIN AMERICA:WINTER SOLDIER and X--MEN : DAYS OF FUTURE PAST level? No. It was better though then a lot of movies I have seen this year. My criteria is I like to be entertained and not bored. ASM 2 did that. I look forward to the Venom and Sinister Six movies. The problem with ASM 1 and ASM 2 is they had the plot and storyline of a Saturday morning cartoon. They dumbed down the villain's and Spider-Man's origin (Oscorp did it!) to make it easier for a kid to understand and follow. And then they had Spider-Man do dumb things like wearing a fireman's hat. I like Saturday morning cartoons just fine, but I don't expect to go to the theater and be paying for them. What were you expecting a Dark Knight? Spider-Man`s never been dark like Batman has been in comics these last 25 years. There is no Killing Joke, Batman Year One or Frank Miller The Dark Knight Returns graphic novel for Spider-Man. Name me one Spider-Man comic arc that was at that serious dark adult level these last 25 years that Sony could have used as a guide? Bendis Ultimate Spider-Man? WHAT??? Batman's parents were killed when he was a kid. Spidey's Uncle Ben was killed while he was a teenager. Both dark events. Batman's motivated by revenge. Spider-man by guilt. That guilt brought on by his OWN failure to act in being able to have SAVED his Uncle Ben himself by apprehending his killer before the murder. He can NEVER make right HIS mistake. HIS mistake. He's indirectly (in his mind) responsible for the death of the only father figure he ever knew. That's pretty freaking dark. All through the Silver Age this was explored and played upon in numerous ways... Peter's neurosis from this highly traumatic event, undiagnosed (because no one else knew what happen) and unnamed, is nevertheless a constant source of stories - from Mysterio driving him to the verge of insanity to fear of the Green Goblin 'exposing' his identity (i.e. The mask is actually disguising his role in Uncle Ben's death).... There's SO much dark to explore in this character... I agree, if they would've have explored the dark with regards to Uncle Ben. Not the parents, which aren't that big of an event in Peter's life compared to Ben.
  12. All of this was discussed before the seller was added. Everybody said they needed proof/screenshots of the e-mails, the buyer provided, and the seller got added to the list. This isn't going to start another jawn/oceanavekid situation is it? http://postimg.org/image/4lxko4cnp/ Yeah I know it was discussed, I don't disagree with the nomination. When I click on your link or the nominators from his first post, all I see is a red "x" - there was a PM pic. It comes up for me in Internet Explorer.

  15. While I would want my money back too, my main question is would Paypal refund for being overcharged on shipping? It seems like something that would be difficult to really prove
  16. Thought it was decent but too ambitious...they could've just focused on one villain (the Green Goblin storyline) and made it seem less scattered. Seemed like two movies crammed into one. I feel like they could've kept Electro and the GG and made it a great movie. They should've cut the Rhino altogether. Instead of introducing Harry as the GG, just build up Peter and Harry's relationship throughout this movie, which would allow more time for them to flesh out Electro's story. Then something could've happened which would allow them to introduce the GG as the main villain in ASM 3. I don't know why they packed so many villains and big fighting scenes for this movie.
  17. +1 It would most likely be difficult to get a paypal case decided for you because of shipping charges, I would imagine. He's on the PL and a lot of potential buyers are now wary of dealing with him.
  18. Bottom line is if a seller lists a charge for shipping that may be high but with no qualifiers such as insurance etc, then it is up to the buyer to determine that value. But if the seller lists an item with a charge for shipping that may be high that INCLUDES certain criteria such as Priority and/or insurance and does not fulfill that, at the very least a refund for some of the shipping cost should be made. Otherwise I do see that as a PL offense. That's what happened here. Buyer asked for priority/insurance, was charged for that method, and received the package with no insurance and not priority. He let it slide because of the "I've got bills, etc." exchange with the seller. Buyer bought more books to help out, same request for the shipping. Again, the method was different than paid for/requested.
  19. I used to have a sales thread template in the Noob Guide, but I deleted it because it goes back to sellers being responsible for their own threads and running it as they see fit. I agree the seller is more culpable in the first instance where the buyer asked for and paid for insurance (please post PM's) and didn't get it. I disagree on the second part of a few dollars difference. There are plenty of sellers who charge round numbers for shipping and don't reimburse the difference. I don't think it's right - but it happens. I think he should refund it in both instances and think it would be pathetic if the seller's reputation is worth less than $29. He has roughly a little more than 48 hours to decide. Hopefully he does the right thing and reimburses the buyer. And to be clear - I am NOT siding with the seller. Just discussing the nomination to the Probation List. (thumbs u I don't think it's really the dollar amount of the second transaction. Sure, it's only $4, but the seller still didn't ship using priority or insurance. He didn't charge as much as the first transaction, but he still didn't ship per the method discussed. I think that's more of the problem than the amount of a $4 overcharge.
  20. Any seller that sends a message like this would never get my business. Yeah, no matter how the PL nomination goes, definitely on my "do not deal with" list.
  21. +1 I could see overcharging by $5 or so. But there's no excuse for $20+. Now the buyer just needs to provide the PMs where he asked for a certain shipping method and insurance. He's already provided the tracking to show which method was ultimately used, but we need to see his request for priority/insurance.
