  1. Here is the listing for the JIM/Thor issues up to 134. I will check tomorrow for a listing of the later issues:
  2. Here is a catalog listing from summer of 1999 that includes DD 1-24:
  3. Which title are you most interested in? I've got several of the original listings from Pacific Comic Exchange.
  4. And here's a split cover whose image is no longer available on the thread:
  5. Although the Steranko covers are (rightfully) reknowned, the Dr. Strange covers are cool, too:
  6. Spidey versus Giant Man (second copy of this ish posted, but I couldn't help myself):
  7. This copy of 33 has been posted and discussed before. The ish is, I believe, the first photo-montage cover of the Silver Age
  8. Did someone say "Doctor Doom"? Annual #2, Northland copy:
  9. Kudos to Silver Surfer for a speedy and easy transaction for two gorgeous Lee/Kirby Thors.
  10. Kudos to Korvac Saga for the speedy and safe delivery of a terrific early Silver Age Strange Tales.
  11. - Amazing Spiderman - 84 high grade slabs - from #2 - #109 plus first five annuals - pedigrees represented: Massachusetts, Western PA, Sid's Luncheonette, Winnipeg, Don and Maggie Thompson - Blazingbob (www.highgradecomics.com) When the run is ready to go online, a post will appear in the Marketplace.
  12. Thanks, Brad - I know those Greenies will look even better displayed among so many of their brothers and sisters. Guess this makes pretty obvious which Silver and early Bronze Age run I've elected to sell. More news to follow shortly, so stay tuned...
  13. Check your new CGC e-mail newsletter. And of course Matt Nelson is in on the fun. Heh, I deleted it without even opening it (sorry CGC!). I can guess that with Matt being involved in selling some of the DR books, he must be pushing it as an authentic pedigree. Doesn't bother me, except that the couple of Slobodian gems I own (and I wish I had many, many more) are deserving of greater stature than they get by being tossed into the "generics" pile by CGC. From what I've seen, the Cleveland and Golden State also are far more significant original owner collections than the Don Rosa.
  14. As far as I know, Don Rosa is a pedigree. =) Though, I'm not sure the definitive opinion has been set down on that. Don Rosa is considered a collection. No, its a pedigree. It is called the DR Collection, as that is its name, but it has is a ped recognized by cgc. Don't see how the Don Rosa can be considered a pedigree, since many (most?) of the books from before 1966 were purchased secondhand. I mean, Calvin Slobodian trims like two books and buys like three more secondhand, and his complete run of ultrahigh grade books from 1961 on (including perhaps the finest run of pre-1963 Fantastic Fours) gets nary a mention by CGC.
  15. Great book, Tim. The early Silver age Diamond Run DCs look really nice, from what I've seen, and the page quality is exceptional.
  16. Stunning books being posted! Here are two recent acquisitions: SS 18 cgc 9.4 Massachusetts (the final, all-Kirby ish) Thor 129 cgc 9.4 Northland And a book I've owned for quite awhile, just before it whisks its way to a new owner: ASM 29 cgc 9.2 Green River (a 9.4 book in a 9.2 slab)
  17. You still don't get it. As Red explained, the compilation of pedigreed ST books was done using auction data and communications from a limited number of collectors. It is likely that the Curator ST run has been slabbed. The data, however, cannot be readily obtained since, for example, it is not possible to search the CGC database using the name of a pedigree as keyword.
