  1. Great stuff, congrats on the Venus run Jason, that is very difficult and quite an achievement. Thought you all might like to see my Atlas Sub-Mariner books (plus one Human Torch to round out the pic).
  2. Yes thank you for sharing Drgoldenage! What a great history of your collection and sequence with the #1. And what a run to own, wonderful to see and most are spectacular!
  3. And on the flip side, is there anything worse than a Larson copy with the name (and color of the cover) erased?
  4. Stunning stuff from everyone! Great looking back at those books, Cheetah. I know you sold off your collection but I can't recall, did you keep any issue or issues that you just couldn't part with?
  5. Totally agree. And nothing wrong with Restored books (at least when you know you are getting one). Jon Berk didn't think so, either. Happy to own one of his and one of my absolute favorites in my Planet collection. Lou Fine hitting it out of the park as usual. I was very fortunate to finish my run and had help from a number of folks here on some tough issues including Karl, Jared, and Rick. Thanks!
  6. Wowee, are we at the end already? I went back and we started this all the way back at the beginning of February on page 227. Pretty much a new Planet every day or so since then from everyone. Very enjoyable seeing what everyone has!
  7. 72 wasn't one I chased but once I got one the cover really grew on me.
  8. Another fantastic cover. I really dig this one! What a great perspective. And so much going on. Her spacesuit is so cool, with the jetpack, advanced looking helmet (compare to #1!), rocket grenades, blaster and holster, and a sweet utility belt. Flying saucers! Pink skies! And Sandhogs of Mars, perhaps a great homage to Amazing Mystery Funnies? Hard to believe a title on the wane. Great seeing all these so far!
  9. 70 is so great. Strong contender for best alien on a Planet cover.
  10. This cover has really grown on me. Many thanks to Karl for this one.
  11. https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/superhero/marvel-mystery-comics-4-timely-1940-cgc-fr-gd-15-brittle-pages/a/122116-15381.s?ic2=mytracked-lotspage-lotlinks-12202013&tab=MyTrackedLots-101116 Pretty wild result on the MMC 4 tonight, $21,600! Same copy sold in 2017 for $2,350. With brittle pages and a missing corner. Seems like the key GA stuff is really shooting up now too.
  12. Good stuff so far! Someone liked making cryptic notes on her legs... but maybe that is the date they bought or read it? I like to imagine the thrill of seeing one of these in a stack on a newsstand...
  13. Had to battle someone on a few of these but they look fantastic so couldn't pass them up! Wish I had better luck on a few of the More Funs but so it goes...
  14. Great cover, I love this one and also one of my earliest. These cool later issues just grabbed me! Never thought to upgrade but after seeing the vibrant purples on some of these, I will be looking!
  15. I wonder if he smelled it before slabbing? If it smelled like cedar, there is a good chance...
  16. Don't have too many Xelas scanned in but here are a few that I do have pics of. Don't think we've seen the Wonder 13 yet, another standout issue.
  17. Major score recently of the elusive Fight 11 with a sweet Eisner underwater battle cover. Presents quite nicely for grade as well.
  18. Ok on to the 65... My first issue acquired way back in 2010 and maybe my favorite one in the series. Something about this cover just drew me in. Little did I know the rabbit hole I was going down!! A number of boardies have pretty sweet copies of this one, looking forward to seeing them!
  19. Wow SuperGrover! Planet and Okajima, maybe the two coolest things in comics combined!! And Artboy99, great colors on that one! Here is my copy, rather drab in comparison.
