  1. I accidentally put someone on ignore when I first started here and it took me like 6 months to fix it. Keep in mind I'm an insufficiently_thoughtful_person so that probably didn't help.
  2. I'm gonna punch myself in the ball bag for being so petty, but there's no way that Marvel Zombies came out in '96 Great list and I love this cover
  3. Clearly you can't be trusted. I avoid your sales threads and I'm sure I'm not alone. +1 (Lack of full disclosure from a greedy flipper who rationalizes away scenarios = Ignore) Speaking of ignore, it's always interesting seeing who has you on ignore, especially when you don't know of any specific issue or problem between the two of you, and you've done business with before and met in person. I suppose, however, when you take strong stands and make your opinion known, people will be bound to have problems with it. Curiosity, of course, plays a part, because you want to know what it was that you said or did, but generally, you don't find out. Oh well. Pot meet kettle. Oh, you want to do this publicly, then...? I've got nothing to hide. How about you? I'll answer anyone who wants to know why I've put them on ignore. Do what exactly? You were an to me in Phoenix for reasons you've imagined and I decided it wasn't worth my time. Not much to it. I was looking forward to seeing you.
  4. Why does Invincible 89 sell for double cover or more? Is there something about this issue I'm missing? Also- #81 is maintaining its sales value like a boss
  5. Holy god have mercy The ole' Wolverine 66 diatribe over in Modern was a master-stroke in wankery Do you have a link to that? The question at hand was literally "are Wolverine 66 prices rising?"
  6. when I saw that thread title I was all "Finally! Action 1 is coming up on the boards and I can save a buyers premium!" And then I read it and was all "
  7. Holy god have mercy The ole' Wolverine 66 diatribe over in Modern was a master-stroke in wankery I wish the community got to set people's sig lines cause this would be at the bottom of every CAK post If he accidentally sold one for that price he would post a thread here asking GPA to take that sale off of their site

  9. What's the average price now for a NM? $25-30 currently, but not many NM copies are up currently unless they are in a set which is also selling really well. Its similar to what will happen to Planet Hulk 92 in the next year or two I think. Great story with great lead in issue. What's the average price now for a NM? $25-30 currently, but not many NM copies are up currently unless they are in a set which is also selling really well. Its similar to what will happen to Planet Hulk 92 in the next year or two I think. Great story with great lead in issue. I thought Panet Hulk was pretty much canned as a movie concept for the next Hulk solo film, and replaced with Perez's original 2 part Future Imperfect? Wolverine 66 isn't really a super hot book...yet....and it's cooled off since it initially was talked about as the next Wolvie movie theme a few months back. I subbed a copy at Baltimore and got a 9.6 on it, didn't press it as I was short on time and thought it had a good shot at a 9.8. Took a few weeks to sell it on eBay via BIN at $89.99 + shipping....started at below what a Canadian ebay seller had it at that time, who had the only CGC 9.6's on ebay at the time....he had it priced pretty damn high at like $124.95 + $20-ish shipping. He had 2 CGC 9.6's, last time I checked, neither had sold. IIRC, I sold mine via BIN at $70 or so, with free (Diamond comic boxed/bubblewrapped to death)media mail shipping.Since then, I've cut out media mail shipping on slabs and switched over to larger (flat rate medium priority boxes are not big enough to provide adequate protection for even a single slabbed book and local post offices don't usually offer the bigger USPS priority boxes, gotta order them from usps.com.Regression aside.... The buyer was stoked, gave me a + feedback soon as it arrived. I have a few other 9.6 and 9.8 candidates....which I have been hoarding BUT if I sub them this coming weekend at Big Apple, I'll press them beforehand....and sell any raw copies I have hoarded that I can't get at least 9.6's out of, for about $30. From what I see on eBay,a solid NM 9.0 9.4 raw sells for around $20-$40...depending on scan quality + shipping prices,...that is what I'd price the 1-2 copies I have that have a couple light CB spine tics and/or slightly blunted corners. In other words, it seems like raw 9.0's to 9.4's with un-pressable defects are worth an average price of $20-35.That is what I will price my 9.29.4 copies at, at Big Apple.....the cost of selling raw books like a raw NM 9.0,raw 9.2 or raw 9.4 isn't worth the time involved with scanning, posting on ebay etc.....and then (and additional expense of shipping out a 2 pound box via priority b/c I ship out raw books in M2's + 2 full backs + 2 BCW boards....then sheathed in a M2/Full Back silver/gold combo, on a sheet of cardboard...slid into a bubblewrap mailer, packed into a large box with bubblewrap...., which the buyer has to factor into the price of a book. You didn't notice I said a year or two on Planet Hulk? Right? Things can change a lot, but I am not big on the book because of its movie ties. Its just the best Hulk story in at least 20 years. The difference is that both these books people actually read so it probably going to be a condition where raw prices might actually appreciate more then a slab book does. Its rare, but it happens. I was just going off what I read couple of days ago on Old Man Logan the last couple of days from a few websites that seem to confirms its existence in the 3rd movie in some form or another. The manipulation in the slab market I have no desire to pursue. It makes sellers look like con artists and ruins their reputations. Quite honestly it will be nice the market implodes some and some of them disappear. Yes, I saw that about the Planet Hulk story and you may very well be right. A buddy of mine/show partner just sold a raw set of World War Hulk NM 1-6 for $30 with free US shipping....and the buyer paid close to $50-$60, b/c it was shipped overseas....so yeah, Planet Hulk/World war Hulk is definitely well appreciated and I agree that in time, could be a pricey set. I was unaware of the recent apparent confirmation that Old man Logan was more than likely(or is) confirmed as the next Wolvie movie basis. Re: CGC market manipulation by sellers: I sold my Wolvie 66 CGC 9.6 on the "low end"....I wasn't trying to ask $125+ shipping for it. Asking $125 + $25 shipping for a Wolvie CGC 9.6 would be market manipulation.....which is something I do not take part of. I also agree with you on the bubble imploding soon and greedy sellers looking like con artists. That said, this is a CGC forum and I do slab books that are worth the time, expense and work involved with slabbing....just sayin'. This is Buffalo Bill-level info to add to this conversation
  10. Shoot for the stars! Here's to hoping that's a real price one day!
  11. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Invincible-81-1st-Print-Robert-Kirkman-May-2012-Image-Walking-Dead-SEE-SCAN-/131735359827?hash=item1eac0a1153:g:zScAAOSwPc9WzRGm come on!!!! For real?
  12. They seem to be replaying several scenes from the comic this season, so I wouldn't be surprised if someone took a shotgun while holding her. But instead of her dying, I sure hope the scene that made Rick sick was when Morgan gets a Colombian necktie
  13. You guys are saying that Negan might brain a baby? Or just that Juditch may get caught in he crossfire like in the comic? I see zero possibility of Lucille hitting a child
  14. They can also do one day wrist slaps. Not that I would know from extensive personal knowledge. That's when you'll get to experience the gentle caress of CAK again.
  15. The power of the walking dead!! Wow! That is an insane reason to buy every copy of a book. I saw because i check sold listings of invincible all the time! Gotta check the market!
  16. Someone bought every copy of Invincible 81 on eBay today...any idea why?
  17. I went in on an awesome trade with Karl. Invincible books. He sent me a raw Invincible #1 that was in the exact condition that he claimed it would be, and shipped it double boxed like an old pro. He is a welcome addition to the boards and I hope to deal with him again!
  18. They always email me a tracking number by the end of the day that it is marked "Shipped" Do you not get that email? nope...what is the subject heading on the email you receive. I searched and I've received nothing. Wonder why they don't attach a tracking number to your invoice info online. I'm guessing 8 days from shipped/safe date is getting close to panic time...unless it hasn't really been shipped. - I don't have one handy. I delete them after I copy the tracking info into my app that tracks my shipments. I'm sorry! I promise it gets sent- double check your email address on file, check your junk mail, etc. I have been averaging 8-10 days from shipped to my door. Certified mail from FL to PA gets caught up in Tampa and then Atlanta on this route.

  21. Has it ever helped anyone to say "No HOS, PL, etc", or any iteration of this at the beginning of their sales thread? Everyone is so concerned about saying they can't, but has that ever been necessary? Obviously my experience on the boards isn't as vast as most of you, I wonder if there are any good stories out there.
