  13. ST's are still my favourite. After seeing Doug's collection in person I gained a new appreciation for the hero run of the series. I just love the Pre-hero stuff and made it my main focus in 2006 but realized that it would be a long road ahead to completing that run and I just don't have the patience. Hence, the sell off of my pre-hero's with aggressive pricing as I'm just as happy keeping those beauties forever. I've readjusted my focus on ST's to be the run from #101-188 with the #101-#115 to be at least 7.5. Then #116 to #135 to be around 8.0 to 8.5 then from #136 on I would like to get them in 9.0 or higher. The series is one of Marvel/Atla's all time best and very under appreciated for all the great folks that worked on the title. Prices are beginning to go into the stratosphere and making it very difficult to complete. I've started looking for "raw" copies to compensate the inflating prices which has added to the thrill of the hunt. Hands down... the best series out there for me.
  14. With so many options for other great titles... why would you want multiplies
  15. Very nice copies indeed. Are these required for your DC 100 pager run?? If so, are they submission candidates??
  16. I find something oddly creepy about these "Black Magic" title covers... 3 recent pick ups
  17. Big Thank you to McMiles for a very sweet Batman #227 that he was gracious enough to offer up after many people rubbed their copies in my face. Thanks so much Mike!!!
  18. I love this thread, and now I can finally contribute...
  19. That's a great looking #58 MonkeyMan!!! You're right ... I feel lucky because the 21 pre-hero books that I've acquired don't have any marvel chipping. Some have heavier spin wear but it can't be seen from scans of the front or back covers. It's really the only major flaw keeping them from grading out higher.
