  1. Can you also please add me to the list? board name: Every Day A Story ebay name: dimension50
  2. I'm contemplating making the long hike over from Australia specially for this event (with my complete Enormous collection in tow - including my NYCC). Anyone got any tix?
  3. Not sure if heating up just yet, but just sold a Darth Vader 3 via full $15 BIN out of nowhere. Perhaps a possible Aphra Star Wars Movie casting announcement on the horizon ( as previously suggested here)?
  4. woah this book just keeps getting better and better
  5. I'm pretty sure its accurate as none of the Issue #6 books/variants have been updated in the registry. It only goes up to issue 5 and they are still missing the Issue #4 Cover D Comic Exposure Variant as well. I've been meaning to put in a Set Extension request for a while.
  6. I love those 9.8 Comicsheatingup.net panel covers. It was a great cover. I have seen very few of these up for sale. Only four graded, so if you do the math Yep and the other graded copy is mine. Still have another raw copy which I'm considering getting graded especially considering the Comicsheatingup.net Black and White Page Art Variant was limited to 100 copies. Also just sent one of my copies of the Comicsheatingup.net Blank Sketch Variant (which was also limited to 100 copies) for a commission by Enormous Field Guide/Colossal and Enormous 10 Cover B artist Jason Copland.
  7. I loved this double page spread when I first saw it in the Field Guide preview, just had to have it (thanks Court/jjeanius).
  8. This is awesome news. I was actually doing some searching on Nate the other day to see if there was any progress on this book. His social media streams have been very quiet for a long time; I took this as a sign he was head down on the new book. Seems my hunch paid off. Interesting to see what happens to book prices especially if no delays and the new book is as good as 1-6. I've been keeping my eye out as everyone else dumps their copies.
  9. That's probably the only one 'down under'! Currently its the only CHU variant on the census like your 6B cover. The CHU variants, like the NYCC books, have a tiny print run of 100, so could see some movement as interest grows in the book. CHU has updated the Enormous print run page as well. As for down under, sometimes it seems like I'm the only one on the Enormous train, but I'm spreading the word where I can. The staff at my LCS must be tired of hearing me talk about it all the time.
  10. I concur with that, my standard coupon submission (4 books) is still languishing at Verified. Received - 4/29/15 Verified - 4/30/15 (been there ever since) Total thus far 12 business days This is depressing stuff especially when you consider they were at CCS beforehand (Fast track and still took exactly 6 weeks).
  11. My latest Modern submission came back this week including some modern keys like Ms. Marvel 1 and EOSV 2. Only one 9.6 in this batch (and even that I was happy with) especially considering none of the books were pressed. First up, X-Men #135, a classic Claremont/Byrne Pheonix Saga book EOSV #2, 1st appearance of Spider-Gwen Nowhere Men #1 Thought Bubble Variant (only 500 of these were printed) Enormous #2, #4B, #5A, #5B and #6 Comics Heating Up edition And finally, Ms. Marvel #1, Kamala Khan becomes the new Ms. Marvel
  12. ...or Captain Britain salutes you! Like many of us here, I was very sad to hear about Herb Trimpe's recent passing. Whilst most people will remember Herb for his illustrious run on the Hulk (of which I'm also fan), I'll always be grateful for his work on Captain Britain - the character he co-created with Chris Claremont specially made for the Marvel UK. Whilst I never got the chance to meet him, I was recently lucky enough to pick up a piece of his original art from his Captain Britain run (below - Captain Britain Page 3 Issue 16 Vol. 1 from 1976 by Herb Trimpe featuring the first meeting of Captain Britain and Captain America; billed as the "Battle of the Century"). Farewell Herb, thank you for all those amazing memories. To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here. New comments can be added below.
  13. Will be curious to crack mine out and see, but I've seen that mentioned around the boards. Had to be internal defects. I'll admit that if the book looks new and unread, I don't review checking the interior because I fear I'll fingerprint or worse, make a crease or small tear by looking at them. I guess I'm taking a $30 gamble per book in that case, that's life... It's a little bit more of a gamble from here in Australia; fortunately of the 14 modern books submitted via MFT, 13 were 9.8s with only one solitary 9.6 (which was a copy of X-Men 135). Additionally the TAT was exactly 15 business days.
  14. These arrived this week courtesy of Rich_Henn. Very happy camper. Chris Bachalo Sketch Cover - Cyclops X-Men: Battle Of The Atom #1 Sketch Variant CGC 9.8 Signature Series Spread #1 Third Eye Variant CGC 9.8 Signature Series Signed by Justin Jordan Wytches #1 Midtown Comics Variant CGC 9.8 Signature Series Signed by Scott Synder & Sean Murphy
  15. Hasn't this already been resolved in the Label Updates? post in the Ask CGC section?
  16. And if you think it was NM- now, imagine what state it will be after being shipped by eBay Global Shipping Program. Avoid! Speaking of shipping, just heard that US is having major delays; my latest CGC submission (including some Enormous books) is stuck in processing hell...
  17. Agree, this is probably best way but with the numbers re-adjusted. Lets use Danes original list as the master (I admire the way you inserted your 4 3 x books at the top of this revised list though) as he created this thread.
  18. Not me, I've learnt the hard way - still miss things occasionally, but not to 8.0 levels on moderns.
  19. It's the same with all issues 2 & 3, both Cover A and Cover B, you simply don't see many out there. I think these will be the sleepers especially considering the numbers printed; if you want to complete a collection you'll be looking to source those. I was lucky that a retailer here in Melbourne, Australia ordered some; hence why I'm sitting on handful. With the low numbers on all these books it could play out many different ways. The first print of the first few issues (led by the Cover A's) may be where people will eventually land when this book gets even more increased attention. It is still very early days and we are just fortunate to be in on ground floor. I still think there is too much emphasis on the NYCC, which when you think about it, is essentially one (albeit a limited print) of four reprints (still, nice to own one...). I suppose given the numbers on the #6 comicsheatingup.net and #7 comiconart.com Medhi sketch variants, should we expect similar heat here eventually?
  20. I also was unaware of this club. Here's my belated application...
  21. Love your work Tim. The pro-active way you've engaged with the community continues to impress me and as Matt Davoe stated in his article on the Enormous print runs I'll permanently support your books (like Burning Fields). While we are on, here is my Enormous NYCC club application, confirmed and en-route soon.
