Is it possible to trade non-comic book related items for comic books on here? This is what I got I got from the guidelines, "Members of these message boards may advertise collectibles or other items available for sale or trade, or wanted for purchase. "
That "other item" would be my electric guitar. If that's allowed, then where would I create a post for this?

Great idea!

Remember that trailer for DC Universe Online? That thing was dope!!!
I remember that. All I could think about was "What if that was made into a movie?"
Take out the cheesy one liners, and you may be onto something.

I'm really not looking forward to this movie. I'll wait for it to hit Redbox.

No one knows the future for certain. My personal WD story is that I really really thought the book was neat. Though a little late to the game to pick them up for cover price, originally on eBay I got #s 1-5 as a lot for about $175. All graded out decent enough, in 9.4 or 9.6 -- it was when #1 first crested into the area of $1000 that I said (for me) "this is goofy" and decided to sell, have no regrets, tho I still think it's a neat book and enjoy reading the trades.
HAD I known the future for certain, it's a shame I didn't know of the book when it first came out -- probably would've picked up multiples of #1. Ah well, what my wallet doesn't know won't hurt it.
I actually bought the book when It first came out, and I always wish I had purchased more copies. I guess at the time It wouldn't have made any sense for me to do that though.

Here is what is not going to happen after the show ends.
1. WD #1-9, 19 ,27 will rise in value
2. WD #1-9, 19 ,27 values will burst into becoming cheap books
What will happen after the shows ends is their values over the next 1-2 years after will deflate to a true realistic value, but still retaining a good portion of their TV show value. Lets say 60-65%.
WD #1 is the Hulk #181 of the BA, TNMT #1 of the CA, and now the mega book of Modern Age.
So some of you who think you will be able to buy a WD #1 CGC 9.8 for as low as $100-$600 bucks after the show ends please stop saying opinions that are very stupid.
recorded high = $3,750 (was in 2013)
average price of 2013 = $2,139 or 57% of high
current low price I have seen = $1,600 (fyi no one bought it) or 43% of high
book has dropped 67% versus high and 25% versus average of 2013
$600 = 38% of $1,600 => While an aggressive forecast in a year, not all that "stupid" long term.
Try to be a little nicer with your insults.
Waits for you to see how silly the number crunching of the above is.
You're right. Math was never my strong point.

What I don't understand is the amount of faith people have in this book. It's one thing to say that It will always be a $1,000 book, but It blows my mind when people treat the WD as If it's going to have the same impact and longevity as Star Wars.

I snapped a random pic of eBay Auction Headquarters this evening...
Peace,
Chip
I really like this.

I really do feel bad for the flippers that overpaid for this book. At least Peter Panzerfaust had the decency to drop back down in value before it ever had the chance to really explode.

Raw copy ended for over $1100 less than an hour ago

"When I ship I will ship this comic as if it were my child so please don't worry about shipping issues"
So that means with air holes poked in the box and a bottle of water and a pack of Ritz crackers thrown in.

OMG the sky is falling...Anyone stop to think the fact that it is summertime and the show is not on TV at the moment it creating a dip
By my math the last 2 books sold for $125 under 12 month GPA and $225 under 90 day Big deal. The book is still trending up on average. Hence this is why it is an Average
So it is the tv show afterall thats supporting the value pillars? How much of a dip will there be when the show ends i wonder???
Enormous.
People will lose their homes, children will be pulled from University and housewives will start giving Oral pleasure for $23.99.
Cats and Dogs may even mate.
The anger over this books success is gobsmacking.
If you have one, well done. If not - oh well.
This book has bought more young people into comic book reading than any other for the last 15 years.
Why do you have to make a drama out of it?
Its a solid part of modern day pop-culture and should be embraced as such.
Chill out mate.
Ironically, you have just contributed to the drama. Nice work...mate.

Did you miss making a profit? Or did you miss the boat completely? And the WD defenders are starting to come out of the woodwork.Neither. I purchased the book back in 2003 when it first came out. I was looking for horror comic books, I saw WD1 and thought it had a cool cover, so I picked it up. I had no clue I was going to sell it for $2500 ten years later.

I dig your Batman sig!

Many previously hot books, have or are falling. That is the hobby (investment wise).
Almost all are modern. From Cursed Pirate Girl, thru to Saga, Chew, PP, WD, et al..
Many "professionals" made their money. Many collectors will lose money.
But like the professionals will tell us, time and time again. Buy what you like. So I can not blame them.
I happen to like value, and profit. At the very least, not to lose money.
Can I get an AMEN?!
-
can't afford it, got a great deal though.
Ive actually been wanting this book for some time now. Congrats on obtaining a grail!

Is there a a correlation between WD1 and gold? They are both dropping in value!
According to the defenders of WD, the comic is worth more than gold.
