they aren't infallible. They aren't??? Anyhow, it is like the X-Men Annual #14 where Gambit is clearly in like 5 -7 panels or something, but the story was a "flashback", so #266 gets all the love. That surely looks like a pretty full app. on those pages though. You do know that UXM266 was supposed to be on the stands before Annual 14, right? And some scheduling mix-up happened, as the events in Ann. 14 happen after UXM266... right? -slym Man, just think about trying to clarify this BEFORE the internet. Trying to convey this, figure this out, etc. "1st appearance of Gambit? I'll just go check the ..... "O, there was a scheduling mix-up? Ya, I know this because I read it....???"

I've been told before that Vertigo stuff doesn't heat up that much because the readers are: 1-more mature, older readers. 2-a lot of them read the stuff in trade format.

I bought Peter Panzerfaust #1 out of a $1 bin, but that was in Nov 2012. there was a lot of 'meh' talk about PP when it first came out...normally people will say a title sucks by mentioning the ability to grab a copy at their leisure from a $1 bin later on. That's why I mentioned it. Hahaha. So true. PS. Do the $1 bins in the States work differently than here? The ones I've seen here, it's usually just unbagged, unboarded comics, and they usually range from 50 cents to $1.

I think signing a comic adds about 5-10 dollars from someone famous like eastmen or hotish...but that can all depend, I got something chadwick signed and I don't think it'll bring 5 bucks, on the other hand I got Wiebi to sign some stuff and it goes up about 5 bucks? The little sketch is known as a 'remark' and it can add an equal amount to the signature 5-10 I would guess....having a full set of something gives you an easier sell and means you can ask for a little more... I'd try for 125 and titrate the price down... But is their proof??? Only reason I would get something signed (not as a CGC submission) is for my own personal collection.

I'm just praying they don't make him hokey like Jar-Jar... Nothing in our lifetime will ever be as hokey as Jar-Jar, EVAR!!!! Not sure if these guys win... but they came damn close to Jar-Jar.... Man, the theatre I saw that in had an "If you don't love this, we'll give you your money back" promotion. There's not that many movies I would do that for, and I'm not one to just take the refund to get something for free. But man, the movie was THAT awful. The worst part was those characters weren't nearly the worst part of the movie.

I waited the WHOLE movie for the Merlin scene, where he shoots some sort of magic or lightning or whatever, from the previews. .....ya, it never came.

It's pretty funny, though, in Game of Thrones (just finished Season 2), like the "big" battle scenes, how you can still tell it's a TV show because they keep the filming VERY tight, don't pan out. You can tell it's still a limited budget, limited scope, and that they kind of hit the wall in terms of what they can do. I know you don't get the Braveheart, Kingdom of Heaven, or even King Arthur with Clive Owen type battle scenes but the story is still wonderfully bittersweet. I can't wait for seson 3. O ya, I LOVE the show, and wouldn't want it to be like that, or expect it. It's just I noticed in the Battle of Blackwater Bay , when they're fighting in front of the Mud Gate, that you could really tell that they were purposefully not showing the full picture/keeping things close-up, etc. Just the first time in the show, really, that it was like "okay, it's an amazing show, but they're still working within TV restrictions.

There's SO SO SO SOOOOO many of these, comics about special forces/agents/assassins/special ops/ etc that are based on comics, no one even KNOWS they were based on a comic, and no one ends up caring about the comic (or even the show/movie for that matter).

I read the solicite for that while making my order for this month. Never heard of it before. Looks pretty interesting though.

Only if you've never read X-O Manowar and Iron Man. X-O Manowar is an amalgamation of several heroes: Captain America (man out of time), Iron Man (armor suit), and Conan (barbarian). The character has bits and pieces of all these heroes, but doesn't really relate directly to any of them. The otherworldly origin of the X-O Manowar armor also further distances the character from Iron Man. So THIS is X-O Manowar?

I agree There will always be a few boardies who will throw out the 'it will bomb' talk. Plenty of IM3 hate and that film cranked out $1.2 Billion to date. I see GotG doing just good enough to launch an animated cartoon series. I THOUGHT Iron Man 3 would be good. And ya........it was so-so. The Mandarin thing was just atrocious though.

The visuals that I've seen look great. More true to the comic than most Marvel movies.

Well, he has a power suit. Lots of heroes do though. Other than that, there isn't really many similarities.
