And I realize from previous posts in this very thread that nothing has changed. You're still riding your high horse expecting everyone to chew on your bs. But no one does. So again, stick to the topic How is it that a hateful anti-Semitic message planted in a mainstream comic book not meant to offend people who called it just that

Why are we arguing about what's the subject of offense is? Pointless. People got offended and voiced their concern. Im personally offended by the horrible art but I'm not gonna lose sleep over it. Some people are more critical about that hidden message than me and they rightfully spoke loud about it. Accusing them of being the problem is moronic

You weren't "correcting" anyone. You're entitled to your opinion so pointless to argue about it. But telling a judge you didn't shoot the victim, just ran over him with a truck is kinda idiotic don't you think?

If an individual insinuates racial slurs, biblical at that, and you do not oppose it, than you agree with said content's sentiment. That doesnt make you a muslim, but it makes you a racist. You just dont "perceive" it as racism. thats where youre wrong (Im REALLY trying to help you here)

Having some idealist sit somewhere in Brooklyn in a coffee shop and criticize what people should or shouldnt take offense from is really what I'd like to hear him explain to me

You STILL dont get it. I didnt read into anything. He handed his a** to himself by openly admitting on social media to planting this message in the book. Even if I didnt get offended by it, others did and they rightfully called him out on it

Not in a mainstream book. Certainly not intentionally. It is an outrage when you intentionally quote a verse which calls for a certain sect to dismiss other religions. In contrast, Charlie Hebdo contributors, Theo van Gogh and Salman Rushdie all paid, most with their lives, for the same freedom of speech you and I take for granted, having their lives cut short by barbaric Islamic fanatics OK stop. youre giving me a headache Yes. You clearly do. No ones outraged about that. Like. I dont like you personally regardless of your beliefs, but Im not gonna go write about it in a mainstream comic. And again, he wasnt saying "Muslims are not friends with jews" he quoted a verse that calls for Muslims to not trust Jews & Christians and further singled out Kitty Pride as an example Im sure youre aware that everything you wrote is incorrect. But unless someone rectifies it, some insufficiently_thoughtful_person may actually believe it to be true

I think eventually they will get to eBay not sure if they will distribute through diamond to LCS though. Titan lifted 21st CENTURY TANK GIRL on Kickstarter (to a total of a whopping £174,130) and some copies made it to my LCS so if its a big hit on KS it probably will

I dont think that people fully understand what a great privilege it is for a person of talent (or lack of in this instance) to contribute to one of the (if not THE) biggest comic book publisher of our time. This highly sought after profession, merging creative skill with expressionism in the free world comes with great responsibility. One that said artist failed to recognize and undeniably mocked There are many many artists that would love to have the opportunity that this man had. Im pretty sure he knew this going in. Lets hope that Marvel does the right thing here

Any word on who the publisher is? I think it would do great as a kickstarter. I'd prolly purchase all the packages offered!

I wonder if this was the other way around how it would play out,, if there was some hidden message insinuating anti-islam sentiments. Im pretty sure I know the answer but didnt wanna play that card until you showed up with this dumb comparison

The sad reality is that this will probably be a more sought after book just because of the controversy. As the saying goes no such thing as bad promotion. I just wonder if Stan Lee will sign this at conventions
