  1. Wow. That's insane. I wish I'd have known. You can name your own price on that. Someone will want it more than you one day. Yeah, I wish I would have known. I sold mine for $400 (minus fees) and have regretted it ever since. I would have bid double that with no problem. You had the AP edition? I caught this last minute today.. I swear I felt ill after finishing reading the description and pressing bid now only a second too late. This is def the one that got away Finding an A/P copy of this book is almost as rare as original art for such a cheap price as there were only 50 made.. This is probably the rarest DKR item out there signed by FM, and look at the condition of it.. the seller says it's in its original shipping box. Oh, the humanity!
  2. With all the recent movement on Avengers 239 I wanted to mention also Web Of Spider Man Annual #2 which has a brief appearance of (Warlock as) Dave, oh its also drawn by Art Adams and has one of the best Warlock/New Mutant stories ever written
  3. That wouldn't surprise me. And don't forget to put WOW! in your listing title. I know I can't recognize a good thing unless prodded with a WOW! The comic only had an initial print run of roughly 24k, so if it is indeed a hit, may see some upswing on this title. But what if EVERY listing has "WOW!" in it!? Maybe the really really good ones can say "DOUBLE-WOW!" W@W! DOUBLE-WOW! W@W - L@@K - B@@BS!
  4. That series had alot to do with the popularity of the character in the 90s.. Biz was a new up and coming artist, and getting him on Lobo with that crazy #1 painted cover is really all it took to take the character to the next level! The series was and still is mind blowing. Lobo very much was the Deadpool of the 90s (in terms or sarcasm, which Deadpool lacked back then), it was definitely Giffen's writing that made him become the hit that he was back then That series is the entire reason he's popular at all. He probably wouldn't have gotten that mini if fans didn't love his appearance in Justice League International (also Giffen). Absolutely. Giffens sculpted him and Guy Gardner as the "merc with a mouth" of the 90s
  5. "NEXT WALKING DEAD!!" listing flood begins in 3...2...
  6. No mention on the label, huh? I wonder if they're all like that or if at some point they started making note of it. IIRC, isn't there an earlier non-comic appearance that some claim to be the actual 1st appearance much like Rocket Raccoon? It depends on your definition of a comic book: http://swcomiccollector.blogspot.com/2014/12/first-appearance-boba-fett.html I've also been buying the first appearance of Boba Fett in comics for much less than what people are buying Star Wars #42 for: Star Wars Empire Strikes Back 1980 Marvel Comics 02114 1st UNREAD P4547 It's interesting to me that the 4th printing of the material goes for $700 (granted it is CGC 9.8) but the first printing of the material can be had for $12.50. The comic book format with Boba Fett on the cover will win out every day of the week in the eyes of the wanting. Good luck trying to change the prevailing perceptions. Marvel Preview #7 and Incredible Hulk #271? RR is on that cover! Hes hiding behind Satana's bewbs

  10. Someone, somewhere.. Is very very happy right about now http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dark-Knight-Returns-Limited-Edition-Signed-Artists-Proof-A-P-Frank-Miller-/321757874473?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4aea438929 I shouldve done it.. Feel.. so... weak
  11. I should be running to my LCS getting all these variants and new books today, they all look very tempting. But... I have a pretty big collection Im inspecting this weekend, so Im saving all my shekels for that one. Have fun everyone! Jealous
  12. Get on board now while it's cheap. If it turns into another Land Spider-Gwen variant, you'll be kicking yourself later. Those are pretty big shoes to fill..
  13. Just imagine what would happen if AF15 had the origin of Dr Strange as well?
  14. It looks like 4 people went in there. I bought a couple as soon as I found out about which book to buy from Larry. They were cheaper this morning. With a print run in the mid 20,000's and her own book on the way, it seemed like a no brainer. Mix that with that cover of Magneto and interiors by my man Dragotta. I could see this really catching fire. Well at least people are going HAM on a comic because the character might get their own comics series. As opposed to a TV Show or Movie. I agree. It went really well with Sleepwalker ... NOT I'm referring to general excitement being generated from inside the medium, as opposed to relying on outside sources to see demand increase for certain back issues. Not if some jokers got burned holding Sleepwalker #1s for too long, or paid too much to get one. And thats exactly what most likely will happen with this one.. By the time everyone will receive their copies of Vengeance #1 from today's purchase, the moment will be lost.. At least most of the times thats how it seems to work. Today, tomorrow, and possibly Thursday will be the time to sell.. I predict a flood beginning Thursday/Friday

  16. They also have a ton of distribution and retail channels that Dark Horse does not. It is within the realm of possibilities that they could be pushing comics in Disney stores, theme parks, or other Disney affiliated outlets. Yup, comparing DH to Disney with such a prestigious brand will prove to be far more lucrative for the giants I suspect. I actually always wondered how Dark Horse got a hold of SW back when they did.. Its one thing to license Aliens and Terminator.. Alas, Im sure that Dark Horse will eventually benefit from the success of the series with Marvel and the upcoming movie, as well as they should! IIRC: [/uu] Those who speculated on DH's will benefit. Not Dark Horse. As of roughly 1-Jan-2015, Dark Horse, in addition to not being able to write new SW stories, cannot print their old ones either. In late December 2014, Dark Horse gave folks one last chance to get all 568 Star Wars issues in digital format for $300. I agree. I think that the Dark Horse Boba Fett books will be the ones to scoop NOW, I would imagine that a print run for those is even lower than the main SW/DH title.. Anyone has sales stats for those?
  17. I wouldnt buy it for a buck even if god signed it What if it was witnessed?

  19. All Star Wars books are selling well and going to 2nd print just means theres quite the appetite for these books.. SW, Leila, DV, even Kanan.. All up top 10. Impressive
  20. Geez, look at wolverines 13 14 15 16 aaaaaaaaalllll the way down at 25k What a shame
