If he sold them to fans on his site first and sold out, he shouldnt have copies to sell at a con later on. Period. Technical problem, or not, youre holding on to copies - fulfill your orders to your fans and ship those first before making a premium. End of story

Just now seeing this and my 1st thought was... so Max Cady did rape Juliette Lewis and they had a love-child? That's all I'm seeing. Max Cady wannabe bs. If the artist really fails to deliver those orders he basically makes Marvel look bad. If alot of people will voice their concern about this to Marvel you may be able to get a quicker response..

I think there is resistance to preview books though I'm not sure why. I've seen this with Rat Queens, Wytches, and other short story previews. The herd doesn't appreciate them now. Looking at how popular reprints have become, I could see a change in this area in the future too. There's two kinds of previews. There's the DC Comics Presents 26 type, which is a unique story, and there's the recent Image type, which are short snippets from upcoming books. I think ambiguity has led people to assume most recent previews are type 2. That's a good point. It's just a matter of time before ANMN goes mainstream. Do you guys think this will happen with the Rat Queens' What's Next preview ? Their pretty popular themselves and those books are cheap. I think they preceded Rat Queens #1 by at least 2 months. Rat Queens is a true reader's book. No hype here, no cashing in on deaths or a million variants. Just a very out the box kind of title that caters to current demographics - female readers. Yes, its also optioned for a cartoon series, but it does exceptionally well with or without that in mind. If the current writing will continue to resonate with its target demographics it will be just a matter of time before it becomes an even bigger hit than it is currently. Yes Im a believer

Speaking of combo packs (haha), I picked up my Superman Unchained #1 to bag and board it better and the polybag tore apart. Luckily it's a great copy but I RARELY take books out of the original packaging if that's how the book is bought. Ah well. Curious, what do you think it would grade? I keep hearing stories about combos being poorly handled at the factory stage 9.4 - 9.6 in my opinion using http://comicspriceguide.com/comic-book-grading. The talking point is the fact this character has been well established for 50+ years. As vaillant said, it's poor storytelling. Develop a new character. No, the character's been revised a million ways over 50 years. And every few years the writers re-examine these characters for the times in which they're NOW being written. Do you really want Bobby written as if this were still the early '60s? No. Except when it comes to his sexuality. Wonder why that is. Cheap shot. Give it a rest. Moot point, with Revat's clarification. But, there are certain things about people that don't change. I believe sexual orientation to be one of them. I believe gay people are aware of their orientation from the get go (can any of the gay board members chime in). I have to say, I was very skeptic about the performance of this book, and still am to an extent, but seeing them selling for $80-100 after the hype has settled, is actually impressive. I do hope for those who purchased, that these prices last and maybe even grow.
