What's up with him? I dont think anything specific...just speculation that he will be the next guy to pop up in a movie or tv series. Ive been looking for 9.8 for years now for my personal collection. I have no love for all this rampant speculation/hoarding/flipping. Join the club.. By 1991 it was 5-6 pages long with tons and tons of Collectors this and Collectors that titles.. I got nauseated just glancing at it.. I never even made it to Superman 75

Agreed about Spider Man/X-Men... I ditched the scene completely after X-Men #1.. It was all too much for me to stomach after Spiderman #1.. There were silver gold green, bagged unbagged, direct, newsstand, platinum, chromium, keepsake, schmeepsake... Every day they announced another variant.. This was 1990 folks.. It was unheard of at the time! Personally, I started to lose interest in comics right after Punisher War Journal #1, or a few issues later.. Then Ghost Rider #1... These books were so hyped and everyone and their mother were banking on them.. By the time Spider Man #1 came out I already knew that we're pretty much set in a fooled market

That's when Superman 75 was on sale, the end of the Copper Age and the beginning of the Modern Age and rampant speculation. Pre-Unity Valiant = end Copper. Post Unity Valiant = not Copper. In the late 80s/early 90s, everyone was swiping Art Adams, Art Adams was god. BUT, because he didnt believe in "cutting corners" to make a deadline he took awfully long to finish a book.. But each book he put out from 1984-1990 inspired the next generation of artists: Mcfarlane, Lee, Larsen, Lim, Liefeld and many others. This is why I personally dont care for any of them.. They took Adams style and simplified it...

Because the chances of getting a 9.9 over a 9.8 are 100x lower .. All of a sudden the 10x comparison doesnt sound so bad eh?

X-Men #256 might get a small bump, but I think New Mutants Annual #2 and Captain Britain #8 will be the big winners here. The reason why X256 will never see a significant bump is because.. Well.. Its a DREADFUL cover You're high. Pass the bong. Totally agree on the major stonage.... I love the cover on X256 and 257 etc etc etc.... Jim can do no wrong in my eyes. I love Jim's work. He's a powerhouse artist. I doubt they sketched and colored that cover in more than 30 minutes tho
