Luckily I have boxes and boxes of useless baseball cards from the late 80s and 90s which is commonly referred as "hard toilet paper". Mmm, can't wait to try it.

The great thing with x force 1 is that it also came w a bag to contain the tainted paper. Would work wonders in supermarkets nowadays as well

    not to pry too much

when the seller is knowledgeable.... did your friend the buyer still get a "deal", I'm just not sure how I'd price a collection like this to make an offer...... I guess it depends on the seller and context of the sale etc. but am just trying to learn :)

I didn't realize that he hadn't unpacked everything! Cool!

3 deals totals. almost 5k spent. 3 different sellers... The Silver Age seller was in dialog with the buyer for awhile but was pricing it high and suddenly texted the buyer that "its time to let it go"... He was in and out in 2 hours, not even looking at the books (he lives the next town over) they exchanged 2 grands and the rest is history...

The other deals im not too sure about yet. But theres no denying he had a very good week

Wow, what a score. Reminds me of a collection I scored at an estate sale years ago. I really didn’t know what I had until I got home. (It was a long drive home). Almost the same stuff.

I used to score a lot of that stuff at flea markets and estate sales but that has all dried up now.

I don’t see one of the big ones there. No IH 181? You would think it would be there...(shrug)

Yup I questioned that as well.. but alot of it is scattered about even though the sellers were all quite knowledgeable about what they had so he doesnt expect there to be an IH181 in the wild, but he did find two FF48s which werent even mentioned when he bought these so im sure he will come across more surprises as these are unpacked.

  4. Haha so these aren’t mine. A friend of mine discovered this alongside 2 other equally sick collections this past week. I was simply stunned to see him unload box after box after box of mostly bronze and silver age books in relatively great shape. Straight runs of asm 50-250.. x-men from the teens to 300+ pretty much any and every bronze key imaginable some in multiple copies (3 copies of gsxmen1) I mean... this was just a crazy week for him. Gonna share more pics soon (was hoping to get some more today)

I dont, I drop in every once in a while to see what you have to say on the Copper Boards.  Your like Howard Stern, I just want to see what you'll say next. Not rich or famous or respected or interesting, but like him in that way.  And you get booted from here from time to time because you can't control your emotions or issues or whatever, and I think thats funny.  So no, I dont have you on ignore, your free entertainment.

I’ll never put you ignore while u have that handle image

These are about 12 days apart from each other assuming the sales are legit of course. (Not my sales for the record.)

And as painful as this lesson is... imagine hundreds/thousands auctions ending at half the price from the bin and the labor that’s involved to list/fulfil them as opposed to the bins. Half the price and double the labor

Just got back... we went into the city and celebrated National Margarita Day at this place on 8th and then went to Ferrara's in Little Italy for desert.   We wanted to go see this exhibit but it was sold out.   Thankfully we took a train back after the Ranger fans headed back out to the island.

Cafe Palermo in mulberry is our spot in nolita... but we usually hit the city on Sunday (as in a a couple hours) our hangout spot is o-cafe on 6/12th. And then we venture out if its nice and explore. At Harbs we recently discovered the Mille crepe. Which is not as “oh-that’s-too-damn-much” as it seems
