  2. So how long has this been going on for https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=Detective+Comics+%23880+virgin&_sacat=63&LH_TitleDesc=0&_sop=13&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&LH_TitleDesc=0&_pgn=2 Will this become a key ala ASM300 chromium/Spiderman 1 platinum? or is this will be forgotten tomorrow
  3. On second thought it really looks like it's not gonna be worth it unless you're considering subbing them for investment purposes. 254 and 232 are the only ones that seem to sell for over 100. All the rest are 50 and below.
  4. These 2 were pretty good catches. But I wasnt home at the time https://www.ebay.com/itm/Flash-96-CGC-9-8-Mark-Waid-Mike-Wieringo/123400372880?hash=item1cbb3c4290:g:iqUAAOSwu7xbstmU https://www.ebay.com/itm/Flash-95-CGC-9-8-Mike-Wieringo-and-Mark-Waid/123400337747?hash=item1cbb3bb953:g:9qQAAOSwHcFbstF7
  5. pre screen is the way to go. Grab the 9.8 candidates and sub them. I wouldn't spend more than that on them. If you had to press them it may not be worth it unless you can do it on your own
  6. I was referring to a black label as a different division for mature content. Which is what DC intends to do
  7. Exactly. My point was why would the make a big deal of it when they never had in the past when it mattered more
  8. Yes that's what I was saying exactly. I didn't actually think it would be printed in black ink label
  9. That Damned Batman book stinks of false hype. Why would DC decide that it needs to be reprinted under a black label. Why create a black label? In the 80s when comics were still being sold primarily to a younger audience, DC published many books with extreme adult graphic content without even a notation of "mature content" on their prestige line books. This was right around the time when Friendly Frank’s was busted and comics were going through a faze in demographic shift. Their excuse back then was "well kids wouldnt pay 2.95+ for a comic book anyways, so why label it as such?" If they didnt see fit to recall such books then, why do it now?
  10. Exactly. Areala doesnt appear in any of the NHS books, but for years NHS38 was considered to be a key book in relation to that character. My question is whether that will create a shift in desirability for the former valued book. Not whether she appeared there first, or at all
  11. This is an interesting topic. Can an established 1st appearance book of value change over time? For years NHS #38 has been known to be her first appearance. It has now changed to #37. Although there are not many sales to prove which book is more desired it will certainly be something to watch out for
  12. Yes. The funniest thing is that by the time the book cools off the buyers who get it as a spec THEN truly think they got it at a bargain at half the price or below, not knowing it wouldnt sell as a BIN even at THAT low price. Unless of course the book bounces back for movie hype or nostalgic reasons
  13. I don't think prices ever drop drastically on a "hot" book when it cools off. They drop, just not drastically. What happens is that the demand ceases at a certain point and collectors/spec'ers/what have you move on to the next hot item and then the cooled-off book stays trapped at a price it once was with absolutely no buyers. The only ones that would get it for a fraction of the price would be those bidding on that book at a .99 cent auction or a seller who's done holding on it for a long while and will let it go for a stupidly low best offer. But the BIN price will always stay the same.
  14. Ive been trying to get a 9.4+ of this one for years. Perfect!
  15. I wasn't even aware that these were selling before the announcement
  16. If the credits weren't 10+ min long I'd say wait for it but it was soooo damn long and the clip wasn't worth it since it's not related to anything. Just a preview for a different movie.
  17. I wonder if Tom Hardy will now be attached to Venom like Hugh Jackman was attached to Wolvie
  18. Btw, don't waste your time waiting for the post credit clip. Such a loooooong wait for nothing exciting
  19. Great fun movie. Glad that's the route they went with it. Everything worked well for a fun movie. Just don't expect a dark superheroe movie cause it's definitely not that. The bad reviews are clearly a biased force against the movie. Just like they were against suicide squad. This movie is definitely a B+ or higher depending on your standards. On a side note, I simply hate when Tom Hardy speaks with a different accent other than his own. It comes out really bad and it takes away from his charismatic persona. And it translates to poor acting as his lines in the movie are shorter and you can clearly see he's struggling to speak in some parts. If only he was focusing more on acting and less on accent pronounciation we would probably have an even better Eddie Brock. But still, that didn't take away from the overall fun atmosphere of the movie
  20. kind of a misleading title but still Im sure the buyer knows what hes getting here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Spider-Woman-1-NM-9-6-NEW-COMPLETE-ORIGIN-COSTUME-Marvel-1978-Spotlight-32/323474099996?hash=item4b508f0f1c:g:P5wAAOSwWrdbogaU
