Writers pumpin books... what will they come up with next

Excalibur 1 (one shot prestige) was as hot as it gets back then. That book went to 3 reprints, led to sequels and eventually an on going series. I can't think of any other marvel original character/team that performed as well at the time. Prices we're anywhere from 10-20$ for that book back then

Not sure if this was discussed but if you're setting up your will and the beneficiary doesn't know about your collectibles value you can always set up an executor, who's different than the beneficiary, who will be assigned to handle the sale of such items. The executor could be anyone as long as they agree to handle such a task as they are not receiving the assets. Executors usually get paid 4-5% of assets worth if I'm not mistaken

Got one today for the exact amount that I just paid from collections_us@ebay.com at first I called and was told there was a wait time of 3 hours so I knew that was not right. Called again and had someone pick up almost immediately. She called me back cause the line was super choppy btw. Told me to forward the email to spoof@ebay.com i doubt this is fraud since the email handle this was sent from was legit. Most likely a glitch. Surprised everyone else got the same

Amazing book. There was a b&w variant of this as well as a preview version if not mistaken

So soooo many come to mind. A recent one (for me) is Dylan Dog Case Files. This is an Italian book which was very popular in the 80s over there. The book has such an amazing flow. Really one of the best reads for me Another one, which is an all time favorite is Silent Invasion

One could use that as an example about different eras. Not just keys vs variants. For example it always baffled me that someone would pay 10k+ for a WD 1 9.9 when you could get a mid grade X-Men 1 for that money.

When I was little my family used to spend a lot of time in Australia and I bought a lot of Aussie Marvel/DC books. They were basically compiling a few comics in one book and had a random cover for each one. There were sooo many times that they would print a cover of a story that never appeared in the interior and I would be soooo disappointed. The most memorable one was a book that had Supes & Sgt Rock on the cover (cover used from DCP #10) and the interior had nothing but Sgt Rock reprints

As much as I think that Spider-Gwen is a childish name, once again, based on its core fan base demographics I think its a mistake for Marvel to change it to something else. Especially since at this point she already has such a dedicated following. Why rebrand a brand that works already??

Spider gwen is really the only one that has a large fan base outside of the movie spec realm. I would even argue that she has her own fan base outside the comic realm at this point. In almost 3 years, that fan base has just expanded. As well as her merch line. She doesn't really need a high budget movie. An animated series would be more suited for that character considering the demographics.

I always saw FF as the book that Marvel pays respect to as a Marvel 1st, and nothing else. Dont get me wrong, there were so many good characters that were introduced to us through this book, but FF themselves were very campy and lacked character development. The Byrne run was probably the best thing that ever happened to that book, but even then, it wasnt enough to make the team stick out.
