  1. In this market a couple million ALL DAY!!!! Kidding aside that is a beautiful set of books brother that I am sure you would do very well on. My personal preference or favorite of those 3 is #9 to me that an all-timer not just all-time Timely!!!! With X-Men #1 going up about 3K a week these days who knows. The spec game is seriously out of control to the point where SA books may soon pass GA classics and I can’t figure out the rhyme or reason when they are so much more plentiful but either the demand is that great or the flippers are just flipping back and forth to eachother creating new records each week which has been my prediction all along but At some point (right now actually) the average Joe can’t afford many of the these books.
  2. I didn’t see this till now but I would have enjoyed the prank!!! My son came from school a few years ago and said they made Brownies at school and asked if I wanted one. I said of course I do buddy!! He got in his book-bag and pulled out a piece of paper and handed it to me and said there you go Dad hope you like it. On the paper written in brown marker was a giant letter E!! A BROWN E!!! Totally fell for it!! 😂
  3. This slab for me is probably my favorite. I hunted this book for a few years it is just so darn rare only 4 blue labels on the census. Think about that!! It came out only a few months after the US entered WWII and it is just easy on the eyes. So much going on but done so in an elegant way not crammed. The hero horror mashup element is insane. We have skulls and bondage and a US soldier and witches and the moon and those trees laid out over the hilly graveyard scene. Even the Logo is brilliant. The last issue of this short but well respected run. This copy presents very nicely with decent pages so for a book from 1942 i couldn't be happier. A true keeper!!
  4. I DID NOT WIN THIS but thought I would share the result. Pretty darn rare Beetle with a classic cover you can even see the Fox symbol whited out on the front and the back cover is an add for Catman Comics. Anyways, brought in $3848 or close to 25 times guide!! This book is so cool and has awesome interior splashes with the giant snake and the graveyard scene too including a double splash that is just killer!! If anyone has a lead to an interior I have the cover I know i’ve mentioned it before but it never hurts to ask again (and again:))
  5. That is DEFINITELY a WHALE!! A Blue Whale in fact!! HUGE!!
  6. That’s a tough Patenaude book only 7 unrestored copies on the census and 1 restored. Add in a new Blue Beetle movie coming up (don’t really think it will affect GA BB covers but i could be wrong) Here is my copy lowest graded per usual 😂🙌
  7. My oh my that is quite the showing BP!!!!!!!!!! Wonderful books brother and congrats on those new holders and getting out of those PLODs!! I like the conservative holders personally!! Well done!!
  8. Here are the 3 Fox full covers I have that I am still looking for the guts too so I can bring them back to life!! What a Stable of cool artists too between Fine, Patenaude, and Simon!!
  9. Jim’s putting on a clinic here gang!!!! Great books bro!!!
  10. Glad it went to a great home!! truth be told i had actually intended on bidding on this and forgot!! You got it for a nice price too congrats!!
  11. Wowza that sure is a pretty lookin copy right there!!!
  12. I actually just bought this for my son!! Absurd how high I had to go to get it too but this isn’t a book I bought to flip or anything this is a keepsake for his collection and I figured at this point i am not going to get one under 2K unless it’s an italian version. Man i hate the modern market now that I’ve got him his UF4 and UF4 variant im gonna go back to my WWII superhero book collecting at least those make sense to me!! He also loves Blue Beetle thank goodness i had already bought him his first app!!
  13. And deal with landslides, wildfires, and earthquakes 🤷‍♂️ Folks living on the coasts may bring you more happiness 99% of the time by getting to skip the seasons but it does come with inherent risks and it seems no ever learns this lesson. I had to shovel out of well over a foot of snow to drive over an hour to work last week. Not a single national story about it because we do it every single year. btw - this is my pitch to get you both to move to OHIO!!! ☺️
