  7. maybe $10k give or take a few grand up or down. I agree with Prime on this estimate as I think it will go slightly north of the 10K mark...the slightly brittle pages like Ciorac said should absolutely kill the final sales point but just like he said it probably won't in this case...this is one of those books that is unobtainable to many at a certain grade point and this is a nicely presentable classic cover for the low grade...all it takes is two dogs in a fight for this and it could soar quickly...I say make a run my friend...I did the same recently with a grail of mine...worst thing that could happen is you would lose...big deal, no regrets, you live to fight another day...it is a heck of a grail though...I figure with the recent 3.5 flying just south of 35K...10K has a real good shot!!! the nice part is for you there are currently 3 blue label 1.0s on the census and 1 blue 0.5 so it's not like it the only one of its kind...the remarkable thing about this book is that in 2007 GPA has a recorded sale of a 1.0 going for less than $2,500 somebody get this man a time machine!!!! I hope you get it CB bc like you I just recently got stung by the GOLDEN AGE bug and it stung hard man!! I wish we could find some of these books at the same prices they were even 5 years ago!! GL it's great to hear someone is floating in the same boat down the same creek as I!! BTW HAPPY NEW YEARS TO YA!!

I just read through all 63 pages of this delightful thread and I gotta say i am blown away To be 100% honest I have never really looked too much into these MLJ books until about a few months ago...These books got some real classic Covers...just curious as to how the stories are? Especially the Hangman and Shield ones...also if anyone has a PEP #28 I didnt see one the entire thread...somebody post one already I want to see em!!
  10. +1 awesome story!!! Congrats Now...you wanna make a hundred bucks quick
  11. You'd think a big baddie like the Skull would get priority and been allowed to use torture tank no.1, but I guess 1 thru 10 were already being used. "Hi, is this the torture tank reservation line? Great, listen, this is the Red Skull. Why thank you, that's kind of you to say. Always nice to speak to a fan. So here's the deal, I just nabbed some of the Young Allies and I really need to get these guys tortured today. Any way you can squeeze me in? No. 11, huh? Well, I mean, if that's all you got. No, no, I understand, I should have called ahead, but you know how it is, sometimes things just pop up. OK, I'll take that, but do me one favor, make sure there aren't any weapons lying around that any of the guys could get their hands on. I'm just saying, sometimes the last guy that used the room might leave a knife, or a gun, or something and I just want to make sure the room has been "sanitized for my protection," you know. Great, great, can you also be sure to credit my rewards card for this? I'm saving up the points for a nice vacation after the war. Thanks!" hahahahaha great book!!!!
  12. Bowling Green played an impressive game to hand Northern Illinois their first loss and to keep the Huskies out of the BCS (I really didn't want to see NI get routed again in a BCS bowl game). Michigan State vs. Stanford should be a very good Rose Bowl. rick, do you know what Bowl game Alabama and Ohio State will play in next? Alabama Orange Bowl and my guess Ohio State in Sugar Bowl BAMA/OSU SUGAR maybe?
  13. Bucks no words...at least BGSU WON who wins the Nati Mr GAtor...does the SEC pull an upset over FSU and keep the train Rollin?
  14. Purchased an Avengers from John and I couldn't be happier!!! everything went SUPER smoothly...the grading, the shipping speed, the communication, and the packaging were all PHENOMENAL!!! DO NOT HESITATE PULLING THE TRIGGER ON BUYING FROM THIS GENTLEMAN!! 1st class all the way!!! Thanks again Bro!!! take care, Gino
  15. It is hard for even myself to argue this...as an Ohio State fan we always talk about this amongst my fellow Buckeye buds...we understand that you simply cannot negate the fact that since the advent of the BCS National Chamionship the SEC is 9-1 in those games with their only loss being delivered by the hands of another SEC team...tough conference NO DOUBT!!! Someone please put an end to this madness
  16. I think you mean '03. +1...million We cant always just look back and say they lost those 2...this means they will lose again. Every year is a new year, new coach, new team what have you. Let's think about the Bowl games they have played in since then. You could just as easily say OSU beat a good Oregon team in the 2010 Rose Bowl then a good Arkansas team the following year in what I believe was the Sugar. These are PAC-12 and SEC teams respectively. Why not put these on the table as well. We are talking about games that are too many years ago to compare. Now on the flip side you will not see an argument from this guy in that those SEC teams and such are usually predominately faster as a whole. But I will take Hyde any day of the week as my back and Miller has looked pretty elusive himself. Please understand I am NOT saying that OSU most definitely deserves to get in. Especially after what I saw from their overly exploited defense today against a HORRIBLE offense from that team up North. But as a Bucks fan and a fan of college football if they beat MSU in the Big 10 championship they should definitely get a good strong look at a shot. I mean heck you wanna say yawn I am sure the Bucks could put up as many if not more points than LSU did 2 years ago when they played Bama' (that answer was ZERO points) No offense to any Tigers fans out there. In the end, today was a GREAT day to watch NCAA Football even though I almost had a coronary in the last 30 seconds of the OSU game!!! It was fun entertainment and you can't beat that (thumbs u O-H-I-O
  17. Speaking of Cheetah I would love to see a Wonder Woman #6 pop up in this thread
  18. My fear of height is kicking in, ...at least tell me they're all mid-grade! That is an awesome pic!!! That cap #74 looks nicely registered too...I havent seen a ton of them but most I have seen have a lot of white on the spine...Its crazy to me that someone was able to put a run together like this...just Bananas Was this feat accomplished by you Straw-Man?
