  4. WOW Jeff!!!!!!!! That is a pretty darn serious haul right there bro!!! Love that Speed and the Capt Courageous!!! The MLJs the Miss A!! Dang man all great keepers the MMC46 is a no brainer!!
  5. Great group shot! That's a shot across the bow of any collection Yep that is one heck of a pic!!! Nice work those are some great funny books!!
  6. The great end to an Amazing run!!!! another "amazing" run starts tomorrow. I hate mysteries! You won't hate these ones!! Great 26 man!! Awesome book!!
  7. Wow, nice books. Comics bring a ray of sunshine to opening up the mail box. I know the feeling. Nice Blue Beetle's! FOXY BOOKS YOU GOT THERE!!!!!
  8. I was casually following the bidding for Weird 20. With only 3 bidders in the game it had already hit ~$1900 (with BP); then a 4th bidder steps in later... and the final hammer at $4000+ for a book at GD- 1.8!! Looks like I can probably forget about completing that run. Yes, my bad as I should stop stop trying to Google auction results on a small cell phone screen which is harder to read. That VG+ auction result was from back in 2013. Yes, now it's most definitely a crazy strong price at $2,868 for a RAW G- copy: https://comics.ha.com/itm/weird-comics-20-fox-features-syndicate-1942-condition-gd-/a/121704-14679.s?ic3=ViewItem-Inventory-BuyNowFromOwner-SearchResults-120115&lotPosition=1 Pretty much as crazy as the VG copy of U.S. Jones #2 that sold last summer for almost $5K. But at least that one was a graded and slabbed copy. But still...... Was wondering where you guys were getting the $4K from. Still, a strong price. Strong price for sure!!! It's a good thing it fits into my humble collection so perfectly!! Gotta take em where you can get em right!! Pics to Come sooner than later!! From your closed sales thread, I had a hunch that this was the grail you were going after. Glad you got to hang on to both and congratulations! Thanks brother!!! yeah if i had to choose between the 2 i would take the Weird 20 and some may find that odd with how classic the MMC46 is i just figured it would be more easily replaced down the road. Now that i get to hang on to both i am elated to say the least!! thanks again!!
  9. Sorry, my bad, not sure where I got $4k from. Anyhow: Gino! It had to be you! Always you! Well done Sir. Thank you good sir and no worries Jay just friendly interesting conversation!! You and I share very similar interests and you're a great dude so we're ALWAYS good!! Sidenote - Just to mention if you go back in this thread which i've combed through Many times The Legend himself JB said Weird 20 was probably the hardest to secure of the run and who am I not to trust him!! This was the only Weird book published in 42' (January) which once again we already have established is my current passion. Everyone holding onto a copy can thank me later when it comes time to sell haha!! I want to be known as the man that defies GPA and could never recoup his initial investment just bought what he loved and enjoyed every minute of it. Boy i Sound WEIRDer and WEIRDer with every letter I type...How fitting??!!
  10. WOW!!! Those Some serious funny books you're posting there!!! WTTB!!!
  11. Thanks gents!! Hard to grade a book based on a front cover scan but looked like a 1.5 or so to me which is basically my wheelhouse as you all know by now so i was going to wreck house as a friend of mine likes to say!!. Hoping the pages are solid but it was gamble i was willing to take. Thanks for no one bidding me up even more because i won't lie i would have went higher for it!! Does that make me crazy?? Don't answer that we already know haha!! They say money can't buy happiness!! Well it just did I am going to cherish this book so very much!! Can't wait to get side by side pics with my current copy (hand draw cover)!!! You will all be the first to see!!

  13. Ask and you shall receive: http://www.ebay.com/itm/142078525483?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&autorefresh=true&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&rmvSB=true Definitely a very strong price at $2,725 for a raw VG+ copy, especially when compared to a condition guide price of less than $500. Interesting to note that after 16 years of grading, the highest graded copy of this book is still only a single VF 8.0 copy. Looks like a raw VG copy of Wonderworld 12 sold on the same night for $2,624.99 which once again is a very strong price when compared to a listed condition guide price of only $348. Current highest graded copy on this issue is a bit better at a single VF/NM 9.0 copy. Looks like the Fox books are definitely very hot right now, especially with very few copies entering into the marketplace. Inquiring minds are curious as to why you would be asking about the sale of the WW 11 after such an extended period of time. Any possibility that you might have a nice copy available for sale to a rather hungry marketplace? I'd sell my 11 if someone wants to offer stupid money for it. Cool book and great date stamp!!
  14. REALLY dig the 23 as well. I remember when Rick posted the AMF promotional with this cover my mind was so twisted around I couldn't pinpoint exactly what it was then I realized it after someone else posted the Aman prolly Rick as well. Both are very cool.
  15. Wow that sounds crazy J!!! Unfortunately, the Aman22 does not have one Gorilla between its covers and I've looked through it several times (comicbookplus). The AMan story does deal with Nazi's and them trying to overrun England and has a neat Hitler splash with the Fuehrer about ready to take a fan propelled torpedo to the grill!! With the realized price the 2.5 on CLink brought recently CBP may be my only option at ever seeing the insides of one of these in now it's simply a coveted issue which is hoarded whenever possible (understandably)
  16. Now, that's certainly a nice looking and sharp copy of what is supposedly a tough book to track down. When did you pick up this copy here? Agreed and a Key nonetheless as well!! One of those if the giant known as the Arrow were on the cover fighting Dillon and the gangsters within its pages holy cow. Neat book
  17. I've said it before and i will say it again....THE PERFECT COPY right there!!!
