  1. I too have liked the LMD episodes very much. Yep still watching it is so much better than when it first started
  2. That is very well stated Mitch and see you even gave a history there that i can understand and appreciate my friend. Well spoken if I do say so myself
  3. Well wanting just the 1-10 is definitely understandable as they are ALL awesome i would say until 12 they are all pretty neat with the interiors running the same characters. I like Lynx and the Wraith in the later issues but you are correct he struck GOLD being able to nail em all down!!
  4. Thanks brother!! The means a whole lot coming from the guy with all sorts of overwhelmingly cool gems!!
  5. Complete run of Church Mystery Men?!!! I knew he had a bunch but WOW i can't wait to see these all together!!
  6. Thanks gents and I have a reputation!!... ... about time!!
  7. Oh geez, here we go again Does every single one of your posts have to be so prophetic? Are we always one day away from the Rapture? I mean this in the most lighthearted way possible I truly do enjoy your posts and know you are very passionate about funny books but the Hang on tight gang, the apocalypse is right around the corner stuff always intrigues me. Even if it is per say you mention converting to hard assets. Can't comic books be considered Real/hard Assets vs intangible ones? I understand that in your own way you are complementing JB but can't you just give him credit where the real credit is do. He was passionate and proud of a hobby (like yourself) when very few were and it wasn't as, "popular" as it is today to be a fan boy. Was it always about the long term investment/money? I dont know JB or you personally but I have to/want to believe that when JB was putting together the collection of a lifetime he wasn't always thinking about, "cashing in." It is my belief he did it because he loved it and helped make this hobby as popular as it is today by sharing and educating others as to how cool this stuff can really be and in the upcoming years all his passion and knowledge of the hobby are very derservingly going to pay off and I for one say good for him. As I have stated before his love of the Fox books has been a real driving force for mine so we owe him a thank you. The reason I am quoting your post is because when you say he is ahead of the curve aren't you basically saying that investing your money in comics right now is a bad idea? What if you aren't doing it just for the investment monetarily but investing in your happiness because they make you smile. I agree JB is ahead of the curve but maybe not for the same reasons you do. He was just, "cool" before many people even knew what that was. Just my and don't take that as a knock Mitch because while I may be picking fun at your post you too were/are, "cool" as well.
  8. Without a doubt one of the All time Greats and my personal favorite cover. #1 on my List. Great example right there!!
  9. Well i can't say i didn't put a LOT of thought into this purchase because i did but I while i knew i would LOVE it once i got it in hand it was even sweeter than i'd ever imagined!! Not a key but it's really got it ALL for me personally and i couldn't be happier with it
  10. Ok so that is it for now, I will post a neat little DC depending on how sales do today. If some dealer or something wants to swoop in a make me a bulk deal I would be open to that as well. Thanks for looking!!
  11. This one is an oddity but I was real happy to own it until I finally got the real thing. Many of you have probably seen me post pics of it in the past. Weird Comics #20. Book is Complete aside from the front cover and a coupon clipped for the Sorceress of Zoom story. REALLY TOUGH BOOK!! I will post a ton pics and let me say book it is a lot more solid than it appears. Front cover looks to be commissioned (pretty cool in its own right) attached to the book with tape attached firmly with staples including the centerfold. My price - pretty much what I paid. $400 shipped (you won't find a real copy for cheap so this is a nice place holder) Also book isn't even in the public domain so if you don't buy it I guess you can enjoy the interior shots as you won't find them on the net!!
  12. If anyone is interested in driving to Cleveland and hanging out my 3 little children and myself the offer for drinks is on the table!! I got a sweet little pad and some cool funny books we can peruse!! You have to deal with my old one eyed French bulldog too haha but she's a sweetie!!

  15. I know i've only seen the smallest portion of the collection via the boards here but even what i've seen has been so darn cool. JB is one the main reasons i found my passion for the Fox books like i have. The books will most likely be out of my league but i know i few i will at least take a shot at if they are listed!! Best of luck to JB
