  1. So after 6 years of the issue being relatively cold to mild..all these people rushed in and bought all the issues that I'm sure were all in perfect NM or better and then hoarded them until this day..and are going to pull a diamond move a la DeBeers (sp?) and leak them out slowly....uhhh huhhh... not to say I don't believe you, but I don't think I'll be sitting around waiting for the day the census hits 2k for Hulk 181 issues in NM or better, cause I'd probably be sitting and waiting a really loooooonnnnnnnggg time. Brian
  2. So let's see..all these dealers had the foresight to hoard Hulk 181 b/c Wolverine was easily seeable as one of the top characters of all-time. Yep, I could definately not see that. You can give me 1980's and up massively hoarded and still in HG, but I don't the there's thousands and thousands of NM or better copies of Hulk 181 out there. Also, could everyone stop spelling warehouse wharehouse..it looks far too much like whorehouse. Brian
  3. Yes and even though some hoarded them a decent portion of them didn't hoard them well and they got damaged due to poor storage or improper storage. Brian
  4. Thanks, at least not everyone is negative on the Hulk 181 Brian
  5. Spiderman used to have just as many titles and appearances, and his popularity (excluding Clone ) has always been fairly high. If people's tastes change over time, it stands to reason they'd do so with Spiderman or FF first since those have been around longer. Brian
  6. Trying to reach the hyphen key screws up my hand placement on the keyboard, therefore slowing down my posting capabilities..consider this econo mode. Brian
  7. I may have one available if these bastards spook me out of the one I just bought Brian
  8. Let me know how that works out for you, personally I don't collect Wolverine for the most part..but even I have the mini-series in HG. I'm sure you can quite easily find them on eBay. Hell I don't even know why I'm the one defending Wolverine..I've barely even read the books..I'm a damned Spiderman fan. Brian
  9. Or just the fact that the mini-series had a print run so high there's enough for everyone in the U.S. to own 10. Brian
  10. Well, there wasn't much of a reason for Sabretooth's book to be all that hot. It is far more expensive then it was..but the only correlation between the two books is that Sabretooth is in Wolverine comics, imo the two have no monetary correlation. Brian
  11. I see the demand as still high for this book..the price has increased..that may or may not necesarily equate high demand but it certainly makes the argument better then just perceiving the demand to be down. Not to mention the title still sells very well in the new issue market, and I think he's probably Marvel's most popular or 2nd most popular behind Spiderman. Brian
  12. I do agree to some degree that there is a price ceiling for this book..due the amount of copies that are seemingly available of it. If this book was produced in the 60's, it'd be much much more valuable. It's all going to depend on demand..if the demand isn't there it'll go down, due to the supply. Brian
  13. Is it next to any coins? Cap doesn't like coins Brian
  14. If you're going to do a subscription go through a collector-based mail order program. I know a lot of dealers offer like a discount off cover for subscriptions..if I could ever figure out who my subscription is through I'll post it.. I get 4 titles, the shipping is free and i'm paying about 1.80 per issue. Brian
  15. The one I bought, I pretty much picked up b/c I could get it for less then 2k..plus the cover was fairly centered (as far as the white showing goes) and the colors looked really good from the scan at least..the Marvel banner is slightly off-center...which almost made me pass..but I got tired of not buying anything and was always sort of interested in the book, so I bought it. Here's a link to the picture It doesn't have white pages, but IMO, off-white to white is basically the same thing. Brian
  16. It went for over 2k in the past 3 times it's been on eBay. I think it might be a bit overvalued in NM-, but solid NM and up is actually harder to find on this book (so to speak) Brian
  17. If you need some better scans of any of the issues, let me know.. Brian
  18. I guess that's about right..I paid 17k for my ASM 1 9.0...then again, I guess it seems kinda dumb that we expect a 7,000 dollar difference for such a small bump in grade. :\ Brian
  19. I don't follow this book at all, but isn't 10k for an 8.0 a bit high? Brian
  20. That sucks, there didn't seem to be that situation when I bought my ASM 1. Must've just been unfortunate for me.. (the guy's offer bumped mine up 1k ) Brian
  21. Yeh but still, ya gotta figure if you've got 10k..it's probably somewhat likely that you could get 25k Brian
  22. If you're gonna shell out the cash, why not just go all the way and get at least VF/NM? Brian
