  1. I'd also be curious to see what kind of enemy they would create or use for a movie.. the living laser? Brian
  2. Snipes is ready to do the movie..I'm a bit worried that if it was made it'd be very slow. Surely, they'd try to get T'challa's politics-side involved and that can get long-winded. Brian
  3. interesting that there's a fan site for him..but I guess since there's one for Black Panther there's gotta be one for everyone. Brian
  4. I don't think Hulk 102 is a good investment choice right now as it's pretty much at an all-time high for the book. It was originally passed over b/c a lot of people didn't see it as the beginning of the series. Brian
  5. Deal of the century there...boy I wish I would've seen that.. *snicker*. Brian
  6. It'd be way sweet if it was Juggernaut or Rhino. How about Betty Brant as the Hulk's love interest? Brian
  7. Isn't his first appearance a pretty tough get and when it is found it's pretty pricey right now anyways..It looks like Hulk 102 has cooled off from what it was at before..I'd guess the only books with staying power are the Wolverine ones.. 180-182. Brian
  8. Unless you find multiple people wanting it, then no a book that's signed (especially on the cover) doesn't normally go for as much as the unsigned version. Brian
  9. There's been a multitude of topics regarding detecting restoration please run a search on it. Brian
  10. Are you proposing a drive-by on the SupaPimp? Brian
  11. I'll believe it when you scan us a copy of the payment Brian
  12. I just thought I'd mention that eBay was one of THE reasons why comic collecting didn't just about keel over and die a couple years back...without these online auction companies for broke dealers to sell their stuff it could've been pretty bad. Anyways, I like to buy unslabbed stuff too...and since I can't usually get to many shows (they don't have comics in Iowa)...I buy from eBay...haven't had problems yet Brian
  13. Yeh maybe the "What if Peter Parker was the clone" issue will become very valuable...oh wait, it did for a little while.. how sad Anyways, MTU #1 is tough to get in high grade...I'd bet it has a pretty low print run for it's era. Brian
  14. or not...how much do you really think X-men 94 should be worth? Brian
  15. I don't see too many Luke Cage #1's in H.G., I'd say the MTU #1 has some potential as does L.C #1..I'd guess the Defenders issues are gonna stay at what they're worth because it's just not that important to carry the big $. Iron Man & Sub #1 is pretty cheap considering it's before Iron Fist #1, so that could have some potential. Brian
  16. Without seeing the back cover, I'd say 8.0..rough bottom of cover, corner crease, some spine stress etc..assuming there's at least SOMETHING bad on the back cover..I'd say it's probably a 7.5, if the back cover is flawless...8.0 Brian
  17. You forgot the artwork and story..or were those supposed to just be assumed? :\ Brian
  18. I don't like the "seller guarantee" like that. It leaves an alterior motive for a seller to undergrade. Lets say I have an ASM 94 and I say its a NM+ 9.6 or better and guarantee if it's lower...I'll give you your money back...ok..so someone buys it for whatever prices, sends it in and it comes back a 9.2. The buyer says, I want my money back..seller refunds..now seller is working with a CGC graded book and can probably get more money for it then non-graded. It's pretty cut and dry, either you take returns regardless..or you don't..don't do some inbetween and say "yeh, if this ONE independant party says it's different then I'll refund" Brian
  19. My guess is that if prices remain high, you'll see a lot of people begin "mid grade collections". There's lots of people out there that want books, and it could be only a matter of time they decide to "settle" for a lower grade. Plus, it's probably the jump-on point for anyone who's looking to begin collection Silver Age. Brian
  20. Quit selling restored stuff, greggy. Brian
  21. Have you ever met Comicwiz? Also, I agree that the census will probably become full of "phantom" books if CGC and the community can't think of a way to reduce this.. Brian
  22. On the flip side of that though, you missed out on the weak back issue market in like 94/95/96 where you could buy nice stuff for a fraction of what it's at now Brian
  23. Don't buy any early 1990's books unless you really like the story line cause those books were so overprinted you could probably build a few rainforests with the paper used. Brian
  24. purchase books unslabbed from reputable dealers as the prices are usually much more "beginner friendly". Purchase Overstreet Guide to Grading. Purchase supplies from either Bill Cole or E Gerber. Read up on how to store your comics. Don't buy stuff you know nothing about. If something seems to good to be true, it usually is. Check for Marvel Value stamps on issues that contain them (Hulk 181). Brian
