Why would it be the lowest print run? All you had to do was hit 90% of your order from #6, and it was an order all you want. Almost every retailer should qualify as everyone's order should've increased for the beginning of this story line. My local store isn't getting any WOP variants, and some of the other local stores were not getting a few of them and got others. Orders for my main lcs were too big in the beginning and they cannot carry the extra % even at 90. Extraordinary X-Men went down to less than 10 copies at the main store, no subscribers to it. Same reason Star Wars Action Figure Variants are drying up, unless marvel brings those % down from the heights they were at, my local store will never get them again. . So based upon a few shops in Central Florida, your guessing nationwide everyone else is doing the same...? In Portland, Oregon it was the same. Most shops got zero if any, even the big guys only got a few, and even they didn't get them all. Seems to be plenty right now online, so who knows.

Agreed. My copy came from Canada and he put a large envelope inside a large box buffered with bubble wrap. This sucks because it's not like the book is easy to replace. I know you were pizzed. -J. This ^ Is the same for Hyperion/Milton/squadron/supreme/sinister, Valkyrie/enchantress, and Domino/Copycat. Avengers 70 = 1st Hyperion character Avengers 83 = 1st Valkyrie character New Mutants 98 = 1st Dominio Character IMO the whole copycat Domino thing is garbage. Domino first appears in 98 and is used to create another character, copycat. Screw that stupid "the real domino" storyline all together.

Doing the work for them makes it easy. It is a very hard book to find I had been looking for a copy for a while with no luck. It's not doing the work for them, it's letting them in on the work, after the work has already been done. After a while, you have speculated on enough copies to pass the info on, and have the hobby take it from there. I'm finished putting the work in already, on any comic I would discuss openly on a spec forum. In this case, yes, doing the work for them makes it easy...for me. Cheers!

Funny the timing of things to take off. Lead 2x Avengers teams, and now the New Ultimates, and people start to take notice. I started buying up this book when they announced he was leading the Ewing-written mighty avengers 2-1/2 years ago. The news broke the day my son was born, so I remember it well. Ah, if you're going that route, I believe issue #1/2 came out before #8 and also features her on the cover. Yes, the Wizard 1/2 is a weird one.... The 1/2 story falls between Titans 6 and 7, and has " a ravager" on the cover, but we don't find out who that person is on the 1/2 cover until she puts on the costume and introduces herself as Ravager two months later at the end of issue 8. CGC labels issue 8 as 1st Rose Wilson as Ravager. Cheers!

If I had to pick one book to move off the under $5 list it would be Adam Legend of the Blue Marvel #1. Low print run, great character, mighty avengers was a great read, and soon to get much more exposure leading the New Ultimates with Captain Marvel and America Chavez. Cheers!

Great topic, thanks! I love collecting/speculating on new / under-used / cool characters I like from the big two. Thrill of the hunt!!!! I used to collect sports cards in the 80's and 90's (I know, ashamed to admit it in public) and collected favorite players collections rather than sets (I got out shortly after sports cards crazy jersey/auto/ low printing stupid speculation garbage began - I lost big on Michael Vick 2001 contenders. - Last card I ever collected ) I still have my 10,000+ count Chris Mullins and Tim Hardaway collection somewhere... Anyway, I still collect that same way. If I like a character, I hunt and buy their singles every time I find one. Wether they ever pop or not. My full "under $5 characters want list" is pushing 150 1st appearances now. Hard for me to walk out of a store without finding a small stack of the characters on my list. I was over 100+ copies of x-men 128 before Fantomex broke $10 about 5 years back during his Uncanny X-force run. I was (am) over 100+ on Vengeance 1 (+ 25 variants) before she broke $10 with her A-force appearance this year. Funny thing this book started on my list as Vengeance 1 - 1st Ultimate Nullifier. Cool. Cover alone is never considered a first full appearance in the hobby. Story is everything. CM 17 2nd for Ms Marvel (cover appearance pre-dates 1st full in ANMN # 1) 1st full is the lesser in value. X-men 282 for bishop (Cameo) 283 (full). again, cover trumps first full appearance in value, not labeling The rules for 1st app tie to the story as far as a term and labeling. that doesn't mean that the value will reflect the facts, as CM 17 2nd is far more valuable than the actual 1st full appearance, as with x-men 282/283, cover wins in price and popularity, but not in terms of factual comic labeling info. In this case the label is correct, but does not determine which book will be the "one to rule them all" only time will tell (I would put my money on dssw2 variant in the long run, but I wont be putting any money on this garbage gimmick bastardization of a character in the first place.. )

Out of curiosity, did you just pick this up recently? Or did you acquire it around the time of the release? It would be odd for a gorgeous piece to be available for purchase for so long, especially, regardless of the 1st App aspect, it's a beautiful homage cover that stands on it's own merits. ^this. Jerry said Pete just decided to sell another stack of stuff he dug out, that included this, and things like the cover to deadpool 32, catwoman covers, ect. He mentioned that the Deadpool #11 cover WAS in the batch, but by mistake as Pete decided against selling it, as it was one of his first covers, AND it was inked for him by Joe Sinnott(!) so it's very personal to Pete. I almost didn't even stop at the Serinpidity art table, if Jerry wouldn't have waved me over to show me some new stuff. Sometimes it's just meant to be. Every year Pete seems to part with just a little more. I also got these two pieces a few years apart from him: Double page opening spread from Deadpool 32 The "my common sense is tingling" page from Deadpool 26 page 13 Cheers!

This^ Everyone loves to Poo-Poo on a book when it becomes a possible "speculator" hit. Getting a new BA Harley (the one and only REAL Harley) book was great! I absolutely hate "new 52 slutty suicide squad Harley", but I absolutely love BA Harley. Even though I won't touch the new Harley stuff, I would go crazy for a new Bruce Timm Classic Harley series. Dont underestimate Classic AND recent Harley fans desire to own this book with homage ties to BA 12. The nostalgia on this book is high, while the print run (est 6800) is low. No speculation needed, as I don't buy ANY recent Harley books, but I couldn't wait to check out this one for content alone, and I thought it was great. I'm obviously not alone... Low print run = speculator. Low print run + content = classic book.
