VERY happy to pick up this Emma Frost bursting into diamond form on the morning of FCBD. Have been looking to add a Dell'Otto to the OA collection for years now, and never expected this to fall in my lap as it did. Sorry for the sorta-fuzzy scan, does not do it justice. His shading and line work is top notch, and this was done almost a decade ago now. Cheers!

Jezz, you post some of the books you have been hunting and then... Thanks Aweandlorder I believe I have said this before, but... I collect and enjoy comics in three ways overall: 1) I read books. Alot. 2) Second and foremost, I collect original art. Rule of 2 with the wife: only one, we keep it (art, yellow label ss/sketch). More than one copy? sell it and search for the other one (comics). Thanks to this rule, I own some OA that i have no business owning at that price... 3) In between, I play the market and make small investments on 1st appearances and under appreciated variants IMO. This stems from my old high school days collecting sports cards (ugh, I know, it was a sickness) some of that small time investments in undervalued rookies and up and coming stars carried over to my comic collecting. Difference is Spider-man isn't real, and wont go shoot up a club and destroy any value or career. Slabs are just big baseball cards anyway right? (sorry, had to go there...) I look for characters that are up and coming that I enjoy, and believe others will as well, and that are also being pushed by the publisher. I literally look forward to combing through previews to see what characters are being pushed by Marvel and DC on that publisher level. They cant force you to like anything, but if they are trying, then i'm buying. (looking at you Moon Girl, not my favorite, but Marvel loves her, so I rode the train, and those 23 copies I bought of issue 1 variant last year for under $10 bucks look really nice now ). For variants, I look for underappreciated awesome covers or artists I like, that may have been looked over on a wednesday, or even years ago, due to timing, or another "$100 out the gate on wednesday variant". love those Wednesdays, as everyone is chasing some Adi Granov Elektra 1 variant, and I'm picking multiple copies on the cheap of Checchetto and Torque variants ( yes, my two favorite under appreciated cover artists right now). Heck, Arthur Adams is hot again and has moved into what seems to be exclusive cover work, lots of under the radar variants/covers that are just as good as ones of Wanda, Emma, and Majik. Take a look, that Doom FF variant from about six years ago is great. Only one VF on the bay if your interested.... I also ALWAYS put my $$$ where my mouth is. When i post here, I do not hide the fact that these are books i have ALREADY been buying stacks of for myself. Now that I got mine, I'm looking if anyone else feels the same. I already have spent the $$ and have 5-10 high grade copies of all the variants I already posted this round. All for under $10 give or take. Its what this thread is for, right? Its not that much $$ either, as all it takes is one of the twenty characters i like to blow up, pays for all the other 19 straight up and more! When Fantomex hit before Uncanny dropped like 6 years ago i was well over 100 copies before it even hit $10. Made enough on that move to fund the next few years of speculation. You can go back through and see my 1st app picks in this thread previously. when I post in this thread in the past about new character like Blue Marvel, Fantomex, America Chavez, I am already on the train and its cool when people also agree and they become hot as predicted. If not, whatever, I bought them cuz i like them. I win far more than lose. If you guys wanna help a brother out, my short box of Marvel Boy and Quinten Quire are ready when you are... Tec #850 is the beginning story to GCS and leads into GCS #1. They have teamed up prior to TEC #850. This book came out the same month as Catwoman #89 (according to wikia). All front and center...but not a GCS story. I don't care what is finally decided, but Harley Quinn 3 for the win IMO! HQ3 and GCS1. Those two covers together .?.....good enough for me.

Thane - absolutely has potential. New Avengers Vol 3 #10 vanished from shops near me a while ago Nighthawk (MAX) - I'm a big fan and was saying yes until that horrible new series bombed. Damn shame because his Supreme Power ones were so good. Elsa Bloodstone - definitely. Her mini series 1st appearance has been a solid "hoard and sit on" Mosaic - nah. They tried and failed with that one. Flippers didn't really bite I'll add Phyla-Vell and Hit Monkey because we never know what James Gunn is gonna do down the road. In case there's any doubt about if Hit Monkey is a FOX or Marvel property, he does belong to Marvel/Disney. One of the few facebook question posts of mine that Gunn replied to I loaded up on Thane and can see the potential. I bought the Bloodstone #1s when the book initially came out. Great cover and character could be used in all media. A nice, and way cheap Thane pickup is Infinity #6 1:50 Opena variant. Of course it's all speculation, but what isn't? Infinity 4 variant as well. First full app.

Good. Mosaic is three issues in. The spec game is about that long play. I'll take those 11's on the cheap while the flippers are trying to figure out what printing of Love is Love they have. Agreed. Have hoarded CM 16/17 on my last list (page 2 back in 2015). Haven't had much movement even since then, but are great characters and still good long plays. Hit Monkey is not an easy find in the wild, and is a one at a time find, definitely not found in bunches. I noticed I posted the exact issues last time, and not just the character. Should have just posted the issue(s) I was hoarding, and seen if anyone knew the reason...

I know the cover to #2 isn't digital, as it had it for sale at Baltimore Con last weekend. On Friday there was no price on it yet. Yeah, not digital. He had cover of #2 for $1200 and 5x interior pages of #2 for $500 each today at RCCC. He was nice enough to doodle on a SDCC variant for me, that is now off getting the yellow label treatment. Odd? Perhaps. The bidding history isn't as good as it used to be. It only lists their 30 day history. In this case the buyer has only bid on one item in the past month, this book and 56 points of feedback. Maybe shill, maybe not. Being the only 9.8 for sale in three weeks for a hot character, this sale seems like a normal progression. Every 9.8 sale has been more than the last, with the last 9.8 going for $63 about 3 weeks ago, well before the announcement that Marvel has big plans for her. Being the only 9.8 since the hype would easily cause that type of jump. Note that no 9.8 variants have come to market, and the only variant sale was a 9.6 ss variant that went for $90 best offer before the hype as well. I picked up a grip of both reg and variant last month right after she appeared in the newest Marvel NOW promo with Riri, and dropped the hint about a month ago in this same thread. I'm interested to know how Mania fits in to this equation. At the end of last Venom issue, they were taking the symbiotie back to earth as it is acting crazy and psychotic again, with flash saying he felt like something of him was "missing", and then showed a last page with Mania fighting some thugs in some sewer tunnels. Mania (Andrea Benton) is another venom, that has a piece of the suit that broke away and bonded with her during Cullen Bunn's run in the title.
