  1. I remember he & Jeph Loeb were supposed to do a Spider-man book together (I believe a limited series). Last I heard, J Scott was still doing the artwork but I heard that quite some time ago.
  2. His DK III Cover is on sale via his site and will be discounted to $20 a copy until tomorrow. Get on it! http://jscottcampbell.com/collections/jsc-exclusive-covers/products/the-dark-knight-iii-the-master-race-1-j-scott-campbell-store-exclusive-cover
  3. All of the 451 Media comics were available, in advance, at NYCC. So I wouldn't worry about BAM getting some either. Towards the end of Sunday at New York Comic Con, they were giving these away. Guess many had no interest in purchasing these. I was just surprised to get them freely.
  4. http://www.byrnerobotics.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=49043&PN=1&totPosts=115 From the horse's mouth: "I should probably take this opportunity to mention that while attending this Con, I will be signing only my STAR TREK work. I don't want to create a situation of people lining up with longboxes full of X-MEN, FF, AVENGERS, etc.'Thank you for your cooperation,' as they say!" 8. They can ask as much as they want. Why stop at $250, why not $1,000? A store their size might actually find a customer that will pay it Just passed by Midtown again and that copy is gone Funny. They had he Adam Hughes SPIDER-GWEN #1 variant available for $250. 2 copes last I checked.
  9. Could always hold them raw and slab when the time comes, I don't think there's any immediate rush. His solo movie isn't due out till like 2020 or something. ..he'll have appearances in Justice League and maybe BvS but still, even then there probably won't be much, if any, increase in value. His 1st app in DC Comics presents #26 and then Teen Titans would heat up first..he also had another solo series in 2008 I believe. But you never know.. New 52 Suicide Squad books saw a little bump. I think if you truly like the book/cover, which it sounds like you do, go and get one slabbed for your PC. You may want to pick up DC Presents, NEW TEEN TITANS #1 as well as an early 80s mini-series that focused on each New Teen Titan member including Cyborg.
  10. No Idea although he is showing up at the Rhode Island Comic Con which has a decent list of guests.
  11. Funny you should mention this book since I'm trying to sell my variant. http://m.ebay.com/itm/221807695504?nav=SEARCH Its from the WE CAN BE HEROES campaign that DC did a few years back. Its an awesome Jim Lee (Rare) variant CGCed 9.8 & signed by Jim Lee, Scott Snyder, Alex Sinclair and Dustin Nguyen (all in same color signatures). Plus its auction. Just check out my link.
  12. Someone went to a flea market in NJ and bought three comics for a dollar. One of those books happens to be BATMAN ADVENTURES #12. Check it out -- http://www.bleedingcool.com/2015/06/16/finding-a-bargain-in-a-new-jersey-flea-market/
  13. Nice collection of DD books. I especially like the mags you have as well. Also, Awesome Collection of Bat-Books!
  14. It's true. There will always be changes and you can either embrace them or not. I don't bother collecting any Event Books as I feel they are pretty empty stories, be it from DC or Marvel. Personally, I stick with charaters I like. When it gets dumb, I bail until a new writer with clear direction and good writing chops comes on then I start collecting again. I don't do that completist nonsense. I don't pay for $#!&. I do the same with DVD sets. I love the Superman Movies but I refuse to buy the set since I only liked the first two films, so I get them individually. Same for Nolan Batman films. Loved the first two but that third flick was a turd. When Grant Morrison wrote Batman, I bailed after a few issues. There were more bombs (I'm dead Nightwing. Take over [again] before I come back [again]) than gems (Damian, Damian becoming Robin) in his years of writing that character. I came back with Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo. Overall, I prefer their run than Morrison's. Same with Spider-man. I stopped collecting when Straczynski started messing up (Spidey Totem nonsense, Gwen Stacy knocked up by Osborn, Peter/Mary Jane demonic divorce). I came back with Dan Slott exclusively wrote Spider-man. Collect what you like and don't when you don't like it.
  15. He broke his hip walking his dog earlier this year. The accident led him to understandably cancel some con appearances. He's doing better but its a slow process. Follow him on Facebook for more info.
  16. He rarely does cons anymore. You have a better chance of getting the man's signature than meeting him.
  17. HOLY HELL!!! MARVEL GRAPHIC NOVEL #4 CGC 9.6 & SIGNED BY BOTH CLAREMONT & MCLEOD = $800.00 http://www.ebay.com/itm/MARVEL-GRAPHIC-NOVEL-4-CGC-9-6-NM-SS-Signed-by-Bob-McLeod-Chris-Claremont-/161315344986?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item258f24d25a Here's another: http://www.ebay.com/itm/MARVEL-GRAPHIC-NOVEL-4-MOVIE-1st-Print-1st-NEW-MUTANTS-1982-VARIANT-CGC-NMMT-9-8-/391045881297?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_2&hash=item5b0c269dd1 Here's one that sold raw for $250 -- http://www.ebay.com/itm/MARVEL-GRAPHIC-NOVEL-4-THE-NEW-MUTANTS-NM-1982-1ST-APP-CGC-IT-/301632200698?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item463aae1ffa Books are selling due to the NEW MUTANTS movie hype. And although you can get NEW MUTANTS #1 at a decent price, this won't last long -- http://www.ebay.com/itm/THE-NEW-MUTANTS-1-CGC-9-8-SIGNATURE-SERIES-Free-Shipping-Highest-Grade-/161705037769?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item25a65f0fc9 http://www.ebay.com/itm/CGC-NEW-MUTANTS-1-NEAR-MINT-MINT-9-8-1983-READER-COPY-/261867001028?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cf87d54c4 Marvel Super Heroes #8 Winter Special 1991 - Raw just past $100 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Marvel-Super-Heroes-8-Winter-Special-X-Men-1991-1st-appearance-Squirrel-Girl-NM-/151672937089?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2350695a81 Get those books slabbed, peeps!
  18. Maybe it's the same reasoning as to why people pay Stan Lee to sign on their cover twice.
  19. Awesome books! Would've gotten them signed as well but I'm planning a trip to Europe with the wife and the GBP kicks the USD in the nuts by an overage of $.65. Congrats on those able to get Ostrander signed books. Very rare indeed.
  20. Just in case any of you haven't heard: Both Jason Latour and Robbi Rodriguez will be at Special Edition NYC this year. http://www.specialeditionnyc.com/
  21. Mr. Lieber is a tough one. I cannot recall an appearance at a convention since I started doing the list. He has, however, participated in a couple of private signings. I keep hoping he will turn up on another op. I got his sig at Wizard's NY Experience a few years back. He was a last minute show. He was also at the NYCC two years ago, again, as a last minute show. I believe he lives in NYC and still works on the Spider-man Strip with Stan. Still alive just doesn't look as good as Stan.
