  1. Congrats, you've posted some really nice pre hero books!! (thumbs u
  2. Great cover! I am a fan of war (and Sea Devils) grey tone covers, but seeing this book makes me wonder if I should add a book to my want list....
  3. I purchased them from somebody who probably bought a stack in the 60's. I also have WW 105 and 108 and SSWS 84 with the same stamp. We need pictures! I'm on vacation right now, but I will definitely post the books on Sunday...
  4. You beat to it...... I am very speedy Indeed! (thumbs u
  5. Did that come before or after Frazetta's Famous Funnies 213? Captain Science 4 is dated of June 1951, Famous Funnies 213 is dated September 1954. I love the Orlando/Wood cover of the Cap Science!!
  6. I purchased them from somebody who probably bought a stack in the 60's. I also have WW 105 and 108 and SSWS 84 with the same stamp.
  7. Thanks! I just bought a handful of DC's and most of them have that store stamp on the cover, they are all 10 cent books. I posted one earlier today in the war thread and will post more soon. A previous owner must have bought them all in that store.
  8. Thanks. It grades around fine due to a brown spine and a few small tears in the back cover, but I'm really glad to have stumbled upon the book...
  9. It is a great grey tone cover and probably Grandenetti's best one
  10. Some great Matt Baker Flamethrower action on this one!
  11. This is still an Atlas book, but not GA, so I might have placed this in the wrong thread....
  12. I haven't been around much over the last month. I have been concentrating a bit more on OA lately and purchased my last book over 6 months ago. I will travel 5663.8 miles (I looked that up) to Wondercon next week and will definitely pick up some Flash or Mystery in Space over there! Here's my latest addition (from 6 months ago) to my Flash collection:
  13. I just got my hands on a nice EC SF page by Wally Wood. I have been wanting to buy one for years and finally managed to find one. Here's a link: http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1111533
  14. Does he realize yet that he took a bullet to the noggin? I don't think so, he still seems concentrated on cleaning his bayonet!
  15. Even with crow pages and a miswrap this book had to be mine due to it's classic Heath cover. I will try and upgrade this one if I stumble upon a nice copy.
  16. Great book. Did Heath ever do a bad cover? Thanks! I think that Heath covers rock! I will post a few more cool ones in the next few days.
  17. I received a handful of Atlas war books this week. Here's the first one:
  18. Thanks a lot! I'm with you on that, if that's the title in the Big Five Information Guide. I have a copy of it somewhere, but I just can't get my hands on it.
