  1. Well I said it there but I'll say it again. I envy those copies of #111 and #121. They're fabulous! How long have you had them? Where did you buy them? Thanks a lot. I sold nearly my entire collection in 2001 and 2002. I started to really regret my foolishness around 2005 and starting buying again. Those 2 copies of Flash were among the first books I purchased back then, because along with my original art and my Ditko Spidey's, Infantino's Flash comics were the things I regretted the most. I bought them at the 2005 San Diego Comic-Con. I do not remember from whom I purchased the 111, but I got 121 from Harley Yee. That was around the time when those slabbed high grade copies of Flash went for a lot of money, so I went for a mid grade 111 that was not to expensive. I remember paying around $300 for the 121 though. You are posting a lot of great looking DC books, did you purchase them when you were a kid (one that took care of his books, unlike most kids back then) or did you buy them later on?
  2. One of my top five covers. I still remember how electrifying I found that cover when I first saw it on the magazine stand at the News Depot on Dundas Street in downtown London one Saturday afternoon in early 1964. Memories like that are why I still love and collect comics today. Wow, I wasn't even born yet! Cool memories to have. I remember picking up translations of Green Lantern, Batman, Spider-man and the Avengers in the mid to late 70's when I was a kid....
  3. One of my top five covers. You are absolutely right, this is one of the best Infantino Flash covers!
  4. Here are some more issues of Flash. I already posted them in the 10 cent thread, but that was before I discovered the Flash thread. I guess I should have searched a bit before posting them somewhere else.
  5. This looks really cool. An Infantino Flash page is one of my goals.
  6. Really deep green on that cover, and it features one of my favorite Flash foes, Captain Cold. Plus I'm partial to the covers that show the Flash in motion. I purchased this at Wonder-Con this year, because I loved the colors. I also love those Flash in motion covers and 150 also features Captain Cold, a villain I really like.
  7. I know others won't agree but signing a ped makes a cold shiver run down my spine. I think you are absolutely right! I purchased a nice looking 8.0 of GL 76 7 or 8 years ago, which had this huge marker signature on the cover. I just bought it because it was cheap and sold it a few months later in the US. I only recently purchased another copy of the book (unsigned of course), the book has a slight mis-wrap, but I could not turn it down, because it was a good deal.
  8. I just love those late 50's and early 60's Batman and Tec covers!
  9. I just bought this. I could not resist the cool Raboy cover, even if it's only a 2.0.
  10. Big Apple An example of a great Flash cover!
  11. I completely agree with you! Infantino Flash and Adam Strange are my favored SA DC's!
  12. Here's another Enemy Ace issue:
  13. Thanks! I have a reading copy at home. I should dig it out, because I can't remember what happened to dear Schatzi...
  14. Nice copy. (thumbs u I'll chime in and say I agree! Sharp. My copy is a G/VG. Thanks! Now I'd like to get my hands on the 14 Wolverton books that are still on my want list!
  15. .... 1500 + for either in 5.0 is normal...... and probably should be....comics don't get much cooler.......GOD BLESS... -jimbo(a friend of jesus) (thumbs u I much prefer the no# 5. There is horrendously miswrapped 4 in the CC june auction. It will be interesting to see what it goes for. I just took a look at the 4 on CC and you're right, the miswrap is really bad!
  16. Unless you are Mr.Illmannered you may find that many of (especially myself) do not mind the lower grade books. Being as you better come hefty at bid time if you want the HG stuff. Because the "guide" will steer you wrong. I love the pre-code horror and also the well read nature of the books. It shows people really enjoyed them.... Like Ed Gein Keep calm, I understand what you mean. It's just that I would have favored a slightly higher grade. I do not mind lower grades at all, it just depends on the book.
