  1. I already posted this in the 10 cent thread, but I just have to post it a second time, because I'm really happy to have purchased this. Sorry!!!! I bought this yesterday from a friend. It's a not to bad looking copy, except that it is slightly water damaged in the upper right-hand corner.
  2. I guess you are right, I just checked and saw that I paid $700 for my mister mystery 7 which is a graded 4.5. That comes to over 2 times guide. Well, one never knows, with a lot of patience and a bit of luck...... Thanks for your input!! Indeed, I didn't mean to make it sound like an impossible task! Though the books are both very much in demand, they are out there -- and you may even be able to work a favorable deal when you do come across them. Also, be sure to keep an eye on the BST boards here, as every so often, someone will offer one up! Good luck! I'll hopefully own copies eventually too, just need to save for them. Thanks! the thing with saving enough cash to buy a specific book is that one always finds some other book or page to buy.....

  4. Thanks! I would go for 1.5 times guide, but not more.

  6. Now that's cool! I've been trying to find this book at a decent price for some time now! The only Wolverton horror/sci-fi book I managed to get my hands on is Mister Mystery 7. I had a Weird Tales of the Future 2 in bad shape, but I sold that when I sold my collection in 2001/2002. Congrats, This is a really great book to own!!!
  7. I guess you're right about this. Maybe it's because I like my silver age books (except key's) in higher grades. There are still a lot of small tears and color breaking creases on the book though and it really smalls bad.
  8. You and I have very different definitions of bad shape. I graded this a 5.5, which is ok I guess. I'd just like to get a better copy since this book is still relatively "cheap" for a DC war key. But I guess you're right, it's not really in bad shape.
  9. Yes the colors are great, but the book is a mess apart from that
  10. I got this last month, it has the textured cover and it is in high grade. It took me a few years to hunt this down! I messed the back cover photo a bit up.
  11. Congrats, I'm still far from completing my set...
  12. This has great Nostrand and Powell art. It's a low grade, but I still like it.
  13. I bought a batch of Lois Lane's a few years back because I really like Schaffenber's art in those, but I never continued the series. Most of them are in low grade. I will post a few more in the future.
  14. It's in bad shape, but I'm happy with it. I will up-grade this one day though
  15. Okay then, just for you Andy, here is some DC goodies, starting with a group shot of early..... Our Army at War Wow! Those must have been hell to get! Congrats!
  16. Love the Man Comics 15 cover and the Battle 3 one of course
  17. I don't really know if they are as scarce as AAW, but here are a lot more issues, so I guess that this title is not easy to complete.
  18. They have been on my list for a while as well, the thing is that I'm not really chasing them, since I'd like to complete Infantino Adam Strange and Flash first. I got outbid on 2 issues last month on Comiclink though.
  19. They are quite scarce. All-American Comics 100 - 102 (the 3 first Johnny Thunder issue) are listed as scarce in the guide, but I think that a lot of the AA Western issues are harder to find.
  20. Wow! That's a really nice copy of a tough comic! (thumbs u Thanks! I'm glad to have this issue, but I'm still far from completing my Infantino SA Flash run.
