There was no other number it could be!

The integrity of the case has been lost
in a manner that is simple and easy for most people with little skill to take advantage of
I made this statement earlier in the thread
the result of CGC's lack of QC has made this problem greater than it normally would be
issues with incorrect labeling, poor quality in terms of the case (newton rings), poor shipping practices has increased the # of reholders they have to process thus creating a volume that is difficult for CGC's QC to take the necessary steps to prevent this problem from occurring
if the volume was lower, then more time could be spent inspecting reholders, but because they are getting so many slabs that need to be fixed, they skipped that step in order to keep up with a demand that they themselves created

A client of mine sent these to me for consignment on August 17, 2023. They were shipped from Canada to my address in California. They made it to LAX, then went into US customs...and disappeared. No amount of pressure, either on Canada Post, or the USPS, has been able to discover what happened to this package.
The frustrating thing is that another shipment, sent several days later, arrived to me just fine, containing the same type of valuable books.
So, please be on the lookout for these books. They're fairly scarce, especially the Maxx #1/2s, which were limited to only 10 copies each. Cert #s are as pictured. 



Here is the tracking information. We suspect that it was stolen by someone in the ICE division at LAX (Los Angeles International Airport.) Please be on the lookout for these books, especially in the Southern California Area.


A reward will be paid if these books can be recovered.

I think as someone said earlier, mistakes will happen, opportunities for fraud will occur and someone will try to take advantage
it's up to CGC to put systems in place to catch those occurrences, so that is the issue that I have
someone (probably the head of QA) should have seen that there was a potential risk for someone to take advantage of this process and made the proper adjustments to the procedure to at least catch it or be alerted
but it never occurred to them and there is where CGC has always been consistent
they operate like a mom and pop shop, it's scary that so much money passes through this operation and more of this stuff hasn't happened before
