  1. For those not on reddit: Jamie Foxx is pushing for a spawn movie reboot. http://flicksided.com/2013/07/26/jamie-foxx-aggressively-pursuing-spawn-reboot-mike-tyson-biopic/
  2. And that my friend .. Just made this book a whole lot better for me. +1
  3. Does anyone want to discuss the book and where it's going?! One key issue will be: Em smiles.
  4. Superior Spiderman 700 sells for $20 NM raw. Deadpool v1 mini series (94) complete set of 4 sells for $10 NM raw. With the popularity of Deadpool, I expected it to go for $20 raw each and not for the same price as this month's new Deadpool v4.
  5. That's as clear as mud, isn't it? X-Force v1 had really high print counts. I was able to find a NM+ bagged #1 in the $0.50 bin back in May 2013. I too have been questioning why the prices haven't increased much considering the latest news. Especially since X-Force is early Cable and early Deadpool.
  6. I am still n00bish when it comes to comics. I think this topic is a great 'business case' for comicbook collecting. Deadpool is one of the hottest, new superheroes. Marvel comics are completely saturated with his content. Considering the 'Deadpool kills Marverl universe' run and how often Deadpool is on variant covers (avengers, x-men), it seems as thoug Marvel has a lot of confidence in Deadpool's future. New mutants 98 is selling for $375 (cgc 9.8). But Deadpool v1 and Deadpool v2 runs sell for so little. Can someone please explain why the early Deadpool comics (94 thru 98) are valued so low? Thank you in advance for the edification. And sorry if I am highjacking heating up on ebay. I thought it might fit well in the thread considering it is the opposite: stone cold comics on Ebay.
  7. Many months from now, we may have a Fight Club comicbook in our hands. http://chuckpalahniuk.tumblr.com/post/56152458381/chuck-palahniuk-announces-a-graphic-novel-sequel-to
  8. I really like that my local paper frequently writes about comics. You've got the best local newspaper then except for maybe NY. I was expecting a 'captain obvious' reply after I posted that link. We all knew the two comics would be up for that award long ago.
  9. We got some Revival vs. Saga action goin on for best new comic book. http://m.washingtonpost.com/blogs/comic-riffs/post/2013-harvey-award-noms-chris-ware-saga-among-top-nominees/2013/07/15/e4d06188-ed7a-11e2-bed3-b9b6fe264871_blog.html
  10. You had me tricked there for a second. It's about time Cable gets put into a movie -script. It is comforting to see that the new Deadpool movie might be NC-17. I won't even watch it if it's PG-13.
  11. Fox just signed Jeff Wadlow (Kick 2) to write a -script for an X-Force movie. It's tough to speculate IMdB but Deadpool's movie changed from "Rumored" to "2016".
  12. Seriously? If so, yes. I really hope 'the Returned' doesn't bring further aggrevation and frustration for Revival fans. I pray that rip off novel doesn't hit the best sellers list. I watched the first episode of The Returned earlier this week and thought it was bloody good. The Returned (Ressurected or whatever) worries me. If NBC Universal are picking up Revival, they're likely way behind ABC. The Returned have Brad Pitt's production team, they've already identified a cast and it seems as though they have a pilot. Even if Revival airs (my guess is on Syfy), it'll seem like Revival are the copy cats when we all know the opposite may be true. The Returned which I'm talking about is the French language (with subtitles) show playing on Channel 4 in the UK at the moment - Les Revenants. It's very good - people coming back from the dead in a completely normal state with no memory of having died and not realising how much time has elapsed. Sounds like you mean a US version of the same? Here's a trailer to the Ressurection that the link above is referring to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qqFZo5rPkjo&feature=youtube_gdata_player

  15. Is it an actual #1 with a backing board stapled to it or only a backing board sketched on?? Custom made cover board with OA on it.
  16. Anyone interested in original art should watch this item: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=171052749799 At first I was confused. There is no revival blank variant at the moment. The current owner created his own board which emulates Marvel's blank variants.
  17. I value the sketch much mote than the 1:10 variant. The sketch costs about twice as much. There are 500 sketches and roughly 1,500 1:10 variants (warning: my calculation). The revival #1 blue 9.8 BITs are $75. Auctions have been going for around $55. The last one went for $40 (unsold, didn't meet reserve, ebay item #200931535671).
  18. Dunno quite whats happening with this book on the secondary market either. Its still got most of its good points going for it, and as a previous noted, its readership is growing - but: I was hitting these out for $135 3 months ago ago (blue 9.8 #1), and the 1:10 variant, I sold a couple on here for $150ea. Now according to GPA, the last sale was only $47 and a blue 9.8 #1 hasn't broken $100 since April 9th. Indeed since then only 3 recorded sales have reached $80 with most selling in the $50 - $60 range. I know its Con season but we are on what, issue #10? Why the mass drop? The virus variant is actually selling for the same price, when its usually a lot,lot lower by now. Any thoughts? Readership is up.... I have followed Revival's second hand market closely the last two months. Your analysis is spot on. The #1 sketch variant is now going for about $210 and $300 for 9.8 blue and ss respectively. How much was the sketch variant going for months ago?
  19. Thanks for the article. Here are the latest counts: http://www.comichron.com/monthlycomicssales/2013/2013-05.html The single comic books are consistently ranked in the 40s due to the limited print counts. Can we expect a higher print count for #13?
  20. Per the latest sales figures, Revival is slowly crawling up the ranks. It started at #155 and has slowly & consistently crawled up to the 120s (#134 for this month). I like that good sign. http://www.comichron.com/monthlycomicssales/2013/2013-05.html
  21. Of the recent WD variants, I think 106 I&B and 100 Comixology are the best investments for your money. Your #81 is still a very nice have. #1 Wizard World variants: I set my clip level at $130 #81 comicspro: $170 #85 ketner variant: $35 #100 comixology variant: $350 #106 Infinity and beyond: $50 List is not inclusive In regards to the #85 Ketner variant, I am surprised it's not valued high. On top of being a variant, it has a Witch Doctor flip book. Edited to add commentary on WD 85.
  22. I always wondered why there isn't a 'saved ebay searches' thread. As for WD 106 Infinity and Beyond variant, I am surprised to see it go for $50 on Ebay when it has a limited print count. Edited (removed such)
  23. For the time being, I am finished with my book purchases. I don't see myself keeping to that; I'll probably make a few more buys. That said, here are my saved Ebay searches. Ebay notifies me of the following listings below their respective clip level which I set. My clip level follows immediately after listing each comic. These are in no particular order. Book values are per comicspriceguide CGC sensus is per cgcdata.com. All comics are 9.8 CGC blue label. And most importantly: I am a novice (1) Wolverine [Vol 5] #1 Sketch $100 + book value = $270 + number in existence at that grade = 26 (2) Revival #1 Sketch $205 + book value = $700 + number in existence at that grade = 60 (3) Uncanny X-Men [Vol 4] #1 Sketch $160 + book value = $420 + number in existence at that grade = 13 (4) Peter Panzerfaust #9 $100 + book value = $112 + number in existence at that grade = 71 (expect more) (5) East of West #1 RRP Variant $300 + Brand new -- do not have data yet (6) Walking Dead #106 Infinity & Beyond Variant $50 + book value = $116 + number in existence at that grade = 99 (expect more) (7) Walking Dead #6 $270 + book value = $672 + number in existence at that grade = 92 (8) Walking Dead #27 $270 + book value = $1,120 + number in existence at that grade = 260 (9) Walking Dead #33 $110 + book value = $224 + number in existence at that grade = 100 (10) Walking Dead #48 $160 + book value = $336 + number in existence at that grade = 74 (11) Walking Dead #61 $100 + book value = $336 + number in existence at that grade = 159 (12) Walking Dead #108 $45 + book value = $17 + number in existence at that grade = 170 (expect more)
