I'm interested, but I'm skeptical because the art style looks too cutesy.

Yeah, I feel ya. I loved Rebels and its animation. This is a little too kid oriented for me. Not liking the animation feel either.

Looking forward to the conclusion of Clone Wars though!

This is pretty cool, thanks for posting this!

In addition, any suggestion for Soft Cover TPBs?

I think that the OP is saying that s/he bought CGC-graded books on eBay prior to being aware that the comics have been reprinted. Now s/he wants to know if the CGC label indicates whether or not the book is a reprint, in which case, it will.

    Gotcha!

Yes, as you stated it should show it as part of the CGC description or directly next to the CGC sticker (for ex. "REPRINT")

I just bought some CGC graded Marvel Super Hero Secret Wars on off of eBay then realized that there are reprints!  I guess you can only tell if it is a reprint by looking on the second page which I can't because it's cased.  Would CGC state it's a reprint on the grading tag?

So how did you figure out it was a reprint, since you bought them already slabbed?

The comics themselves should have something on the cover that shows they are not the original prints.

    Pictures?

I was a little surprised by these. The remarks are almost identical, one of them was from a VIP event. Id be upset if I paid for a remark at such an event only to find its no really unique. Not my books, saw one on eBay and the other shared on FB.

There is also this one on eBay which is similar but just a Catwoman sketch on #50...

SDCC Batman #50 w/ Catwoman sketch

  6. I have not heard anything about Starlin's signature not being allowed for CGC witnessing, as he has been at a couple of shows lately, Terrifcon being the most recent. I do know he does charge $$$, as specified, it was $20 the last time I heard.

Good luck to you at Baltimore, as I will also be there (it's a great show).

  7. Yeah, totally saw this coming. Intellectual property is a big thing nowadays and not surprised the pub got shut down.

As a fan, it sucks but as a business, they want their money and their cut. As a musician, I see this all the time with people wanted to do covers of songs or use songs in videos and what not. Copyrights are a huge thing with popular entertainment.

I wish the guys well and good luck  on their next endeavor.

    :/

  8. Been attending for the past couple of years (since I'm in Maryland). Definitely a great show!

Good show to talk to dealers and the like. More artist and writer based as well.

As for pics, I could post a couple for ya  (thumbsu The countdown has begun!

(also depends what kind of pics you want to see?)

Or, make the scans and offer them up here in the sales forums first. Whatever doesn’t sell can then go to eBay or Clink.

I definitely agree that you might want to start with posting them here on the forums first. "One person's trash is another person's treasure.." or so it goes. You never know if someone is looking to complete a collection and really wants your book/slab. You might get the price you want or close to it as you might get some good offers. Secondly, I would go with eBay and then Clink. Good luck!

Maybe he sold it locally? Or maybe (like I was going to do) they decided to hold it until the next announcement and wait for the prices to go back up? Or maybe they did ship it and they just don't have the tracking to confirm it and decided to refund themselves since eBay/PayPal would make them do it eventually.

I bought 2 9.8 copies that day from different sellers and in the back of my head I wondered if either would really be delivered. One was and one wasn't and I was eventually refunded by the one from above, so no real harm done. It's just a bummer to be strung along.

Just a side note that the seller that DID ship the other copy that I purchased, comics_to_astonish_inc, was top notch all the way, so I know for a fact that integrity still means something to some people.

Yeah, you never know what is going on with sellers and their idea of how or when to sell books. I definitely recommend a negative feedback on something like that though.

Also, I definitely recommend Comics to Astonish. They do top notch work and deliver every time!

Got a return request from ebay user: vincr_87

It's a noob account with 31 feedback, which is completely typical.

I got a return request out of the blue on a Thor #350 CGC 9.8 SS Stan Lee book. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the book or case. Screwed up my paypal account over nothing. This is his reason in the return request:

    Here's what the buyer said

    Reason

    Just didn't like it

    Comments

    Case just feels loose

Dont walk to add this one to your blocked list, RUN!

Just tried to add this user to my block list and it looks like it is an "Invalid User ID"

Thanks for the message though, sorry he screwed you over. My condolences.
