The Spidey 798, Underworld Blood Wars and Batman Arkham, all have good sig placement as far as my preferences go.

The Cap 6...let's face it...Stan never had the best placement when signing. I've had some really nice placements with his sig too though but I'm very happy that at least he didn't sign on the Winter Soldier's face on this one. Easily my favorite SS book I've ever owned though. Signed by Stan Lee, Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan and Joe and Anthony Russo.

Batman Arkham Knight 1 Gamestop variant cgc 9.8 #1320650008 SS Art Thibert.jpg

cgc 9.8 Captain America 6 SS stan lee, Sebastian Stan, Chris Evans, Stan Lee, Russo Brothers.jpg

I like the Beckinsale and Kirkham but I hate to say not the Stan Lee.  The Thibert would've been better served to sign in silver.

  2. Regarding the rancor and how Boba got it.  I might have missed something in a prior episode, but why did the two Hutts come back and warn him about the Pikes and give him this gift?  They obviously weren't there to collect the wookie gladiator. Why didn't they just stay out of it and be content with eating scurrying reptiles?

If all the mods got eaten by the Rancor, I would have given the show an A+

If we were actually meant to care about the mods and modettes, they should've done more in-depth scenes with them.  As it stood I couldn't tell you any of their names in the last ep or really even care to know.  Just bad story telling.  And the fact that Boba actually took tactical advise from one of them that was horrible made it even worse.

My qualm was that it was rushed.  Grogu just returning avoids any emotional substance in the same way as the sequel trilogy saying "somehow Sidious is back".  The fight (and this is with any show really) showed an absolute lack of strategy.  I get it, you can't expect the writers to be nuanced with flanking and what not, but "hey, let's all gather and hide behind this personnel carrier" is too simple.  They could have at least attempted to separate the disparate groups.  And then of course there was the monster fight which felt like an homage to Godzilla or King Kong.  It was a big action set that didn't necessarily further the development of these characters much in any meaningful way.  In the end I'm not left thinking "there's the badass Boba Fett we were looking for."

    Agreed.

I'm glad this show is done, just didn't live up to expectations.  Can't wait for Obi Wan, hope its not just another vehicle for Mando.

I've honesty wondered what the viewing experience is for those who haven't seen Clone Wars or Rebels.  There's so much back story regarding the Darksaber, Ahsoka, Bo Katan, Mandalore, etc.  Like, in Mando s2 when Ahsoka asks "where is Grand Admiral Thrawn", animated fans lost their collective mind.  Did you just go "who's that?"

    Pretty much! lol

I've had to ask people I know who have seen the CW series about the references or consult the internet.  I might have to break down and watch it.

They kind of did that in Clone Wars.  He was actually mentored by Cad Bane if I remember correctly.

I am actually enjoying it the whole season.   Is it the best?  No... but it still has me waking up early and watching it before I have to go to work.

See this is the problem.  If you didn't watch the Clone Wars show, which I didn't, then you are scratching your head as to why they aren't showing his origins.

I think it is more of a bounty hunter thing.  That you take a job to do something and that there are risks.

I am basing this off of the line he tells BK to think about who he works for in the future before he lets the Wookie go.

    That could be.

I'm thinking the only way to redeem this terrible start is in season two go back to his beginnings after his father gets his head sliced off and show how he became the bad arse bounty hunter.   Show how he got the iconic armor and gained his combat skills and make it about him.  Because otherwise calling it the Book of Boba Fett makes no sense when you let other characters take over the show.

  8. Does anyone know if Favreau explained why he went in the direction he did with the Boba Fett character (taking over Jabba's business and such)?  Why not come at it from the angle of Fett seeking revenge against the rebels as part of the story?  Its not even mentioned in BoBF.  He surely must hold some resentment toward Solo who batted him into the pit.

  9. Another thing that made no sense was the gun fight at Tatooine Corral.  Why is the EXPERIENCED Marshall standing in the middle of the street to greet this obvious bad guy?  Why not move to the doorway to have some cover?  And better yet why not tell the deputy who must have some training to be an actually deputy to go get a rifle or a few other villagers?  After all aren't they good fighters as Mando put it?
