Titles counts and keeps countin', and we knows now finding the trick of who's been titled and titles lost ain't no easy ride. But that's our lot, we gotta' travel it. And there ain't nobody knows who they're gonna' title next. Still in all, every night we seeks the title, so that we 'member who we was and where we came from... but most of all we 'member the Mods that finded us, them that came with titles. And we lights the boards, not just for the 'membrance of Arch or  Gemma but for CGC Mike, and for all of them that are still out there. 'Cause we knows there comes a night, when they sees the distant light, and another Custom Title be comin' home.

2 titles enter, one title leaves

Dena and I had a meeting about 3 months ago, and racked our brains over this.  The rankings were not changing with the post count like they used to.  As it turns out, I believe they turned into achievements instead of post counts, and we don't use achievements.  So, we did away with the rankings, and now everyone is listed as a member.  @dena might be able to explain it better but, that is the way I (my old brain)  remembers it.

So no more custom titles?  Well that's no fun!

Wow, I don’t remember that. I read most of the ROM run as it came out too. It has been 40 years though, and my brain is far from what it used to be.

If that storyline didn’t happen, maybe it should have.

I only read two issues of ROM and they were the ones with Galactus in them...last page of the 2nd book (and he actually moves the planet, not them):

Marvel Daily Art on Twitter: "Galactus is upset at being betrayed, but has an almost grudging respect for being tricked so cleverly. So he responds in kind: He promised to keep Galador

Are all powerful characters as entertaining longterm? Superman has been stale through long stretches and I believe it's due to his powers. I think it makes the writing more difficult, coming up with stories that don't rely on gimmicks or a 'kryptonite' to be a threat. Great adversary's are harder to come up with. Spiderman probably has the best list of villains, because they don't have to be world-beaters.

    Agreed.

I think a limited series on each one you named would be interesting, but longer then that would drag.  With great power comes great responsibility and with greater power comes tougher story lines.

Placement, placement, placement. Signature placement makes all the difference in the world. My 100% biggest gripe is when I window a book and it is removed from the bag for a signing. I get it the creator/writer likes a certain place but I've researched examplars and know what their signature looks like and where I want it.

This is my biggest pet peeve and lead me to start this thread...

The worst offense is to sign a book in black sharpie on a black (or dark colored) part of the cover.
