  1. Weird Tales of the Future #8 (CGC 4.0 with cream to off-white pages) $1600: Sold! Comcav. Gorgeous Bernard Baily classic horror cover! Have you ever seen such brilliant colors for a 4.0 that radiate like these? Hy Fleishman, Frank Frollo, Walter Palais, and Nick Frank art. July-August 1953.
  2. Red Seal Comics #16 (CGC 6.5 with off-white pages.) $1100: A Chesler you don’t see very often since only four exist in the census. Only one higher. Joe Beck and Otto Eppers cover. George Tuska, Paul Gattuso and Gus Ricca art. Used in SOTI. April 1946.
  3. Teen-Age Romances #39 (CGC 3.0 with off-white to white pages) $950: Stunning Matt Baker cover. Presents extremely well for the assigned grade. Love the pose and coyish look of the young lady. One of the more coveted Matt Baker runs. Difficult to find this issue in any grade as only four have changed hands thru auction in the last eight years. Only 10 in the census. September 1954.
  4. Horrors #13 (CGC 5.0 with off-white pages.) $600: Sold to Lookingforsamuel! Sensational L.B. Cole Horrors of Mystery cover. Classical Cole poster-looking cover with deep colorful inks. Very solid structure for a 5.0. June 1953.
  5. Fight Comics #54 (CGC 8.5 with white pages.) $625: Sold! Casablanca. Superb Joe Doolan cover! High grade with solid structure and clean cover. No date stamps, writing or ink/pencil marks. Hard to find with white pages. Third highest with only 12 in census. Art by Matt Baker, Jack Kamen, George Evans and Robert Webb. February 1948.
  6. Rocket to the Moon #1 (CGC 5.5 with cream to off-white pages) $500: Classic Joe Orlando sci-fi cover. A must-have for golden-age collections. December 1951
  7. Planet Comics #38 (CGC 6.0 with off-white to white pages.) $600: Sold to goldenacase! Solid mid-grade book. Art by Lily Renee, Fran Hopper and Murphy Anderson. First Mista of the Moon cover. September 1945.
  8. Jumbo Comics #32 (CGC 4.5 with light tan to off-white pages.) $325: Here we have an impressive Dan Zolnerowich early Jumbo cover. Nice looking cover for a 4.5. Only eight in census. Art by Will Eisner, Mort Leav, Robert Webb, Sy Reit and Art Saaf. October 1941.
  9. Popular Teen-Agers #9 (CGC 4.0 with off-white pages.) $600: Beautiful pre-code L.B. Cole romance cover. Classic Cole use of brilliant colors. Very rare and difficult to own with only three in census. October 1951.
  10. Authentic Police Cases #13 (CGC 4.5 with off-white to white pages) $275: Sold! Casablanca. Matt Baker cover and art. Creasing along left side of front cover brings the grade down. May 1951.

  13. Catman Comics #29 (CGC 5.0 with cream to off-white pages) $1550: SOLD to Comcav! Stunning L.B. Cole cover with Fujitani and Palais art. Excellent eye appeal. Solid centering and alignment contribute to this outstanding cover. Another Gerber “8”! August 1945.
  14. Tomb of Terror #16 (CGC 7.5 with cream to off-white pages.) $1400: Creepy, haunting and mesmerizing cover by Lee Elias. Love the contrast in colors below and above the water. Gorgeous clean cover with great centering and solid corners. One of my favorite pre-code horror gems. Collectors are finally starting to give this comic the attention and appreciation it’s due. July 1954.
  15. Teen-Age Romances #18 (CGC 3.0 with off-white pages.) $850: Spectacular Matt Baker cover. Classic Baker pencils with gorgeous colors. With only 13 in the census and only 3 sold thru auctions in the last 10 years, this is an extremely difficult Baker to own. Front cover presents extremely well for a 3.0. October 1951.
