  3. This Magazine is Haunted #5 (CGC 6.0 with off-white pages.) $625: SOLD! blazingbob! Bright deep colors highlight this eerie Sheldon Moldoff cover. Inside is just as good with top-notch writing and excellent pencils by Bob Powell and George Evans. June 1952.
  4. Mystery Tales #19 (CGC 3.0 with cream to off-white pages.) $875: $800. Stunning Harry Anderson classic! The original “Walking Dead”. Art by Carmine Infantino and Bill Walton. One of the nicer looking covers for the grade. May 1954.
  5. Weird Mysteries #3 (CGC 5.0 with cream to off-white pages) $825: SOLD! BakerFanOne! Marvelously horrific and gory Bernard Baily decapitation cover. Not for the faint of heart. Art by Ross Andru, Mike Esposito, Tony Mortellaro and Charles Stern. Great presentation for a 5.0. Clean cover, solid structure and almost flawless centering. February 1953.

  7. Tales of Suspense #12 (White Mountain Pedigree. CGC 9.0 with white pages) $2200: $1900. I know not Gold but an early classic Silver. Superb Jack Kirby cover. Tough to find these pre-hero Marvels in high grade and even tougher in the White Mountain Pedigree. 82 in census with only one higher at 9.2. Even the 9.2 doesn’t have white pages. Art doesn’t get much better than Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, Reed Crandall, Don Heck and Ayers. November 1960.

  13. Authentic Police Cases #7 (CGC 5.5 with cream to off-white pages) $600: $540. The master of reality cover composition and the human form- Matt Baker. No one does it better than Matt. His passion for clothing and women is on display once again. Look at the detail in the femme fatale’s and the thug’s clothing. The meticulous creases in the suit and dress, the green suspenders and the fishnet backing of the dress. You just don’t see this level of drawing and color detail in other artists’ work. Not to mention the elegant rendering of the gorgeous blond. This cover displays much nicer than the assigned grade. Solid structure and clean cover with no ink marks, writing or date stamps. April 1950.
