  1. Wartime Romances #18 (CGC 4.0 with white pages) $700: Sold to Casablanca! Thanks Robert! Another gorgeous classic Matt Baker cover and art (“My Secret Guilt”). Very nice structure and colors for a 4.0. Last issue in the series. November 1953. Another difficult issue to own. Doesn’t change hands very often. Only four issues sold thru auctions in the last 10 years.
  2. Authentic Policy Cases #33 (CGC 4.0 with off-white pages) $400: Excellent Matt Baker cover. Front cover presents much nicer than a 4.0. Another difficult issue to own with only nine in census.
  3. Pictorial Romances #5 (CGC 8.0 with off-white pages) $2000: Sold! Sold! Sold! Comcav again. Thanks again William! Great high-grade Matt Baker cover and artwork (“Glamour Was My Weakness”- reprint from issue #4). Difficult to own in any grade with only 10 in census and two graded higher. Only three have sold thru auctions in the last 10 years.
  4. Terrors of the Jungle #9 (CGC 6.0 with cream to off-white pages) $350: Sold. Another one for Comcav! You can never have enough L.B. Cole covers. Another solid mid-grade jungle book. Great “good girl art” by Jay Disbrow in “Flaming Goddess of Death”. Another difficult issue to own with only 11 in census and five graded higher.
  5. Texan #4 (CGC 4.5 with off-white pages) $675: Solid mid-grade Matt Baker cover. Baker inside continues his distinctive art with “Buckskin Belle.” Difficult issue to own with only nine in census and just four graded higher.
  6. Terrors of the Jungle #17 (CGC 5.5 with cream to off-white pages) $750: Sold to Comical Situations. Thanks again Troy! Another gorgeous classic L.B. Cole cover. Terrific black background. I like the effect of dripping blood to highlight the title. Note the position of the young lass about to be burned at the stake- dead center of the comic. Immediately your eyes focus there. Then they slowly peruse the surrounding savagery. Another extraordinary cover by the master! Used in Seduction of the Innocent.
  7. Wonder Comics # 9 (CGC 4.5 with off-white to white pages.) $600: Sold to Comical Situations. Thanks Troy! Solid mid-grade colorful Schomburg cover. Art by Schomburg, Bob Oksner and Al Camby. Wonderman begins. December 1946.
  8. Chilling Tales #17 (CGC 4.0 with off-white to white pages) $450: Sold to Black Bat. Thanks Frank! Creepy, distinctive and quirky Matt Fox pre-code horror. Cover looks quite spectacular for a 4.0 grade. Love that logo.
  9. Hand of Fate #10 (CGC 8.5 with off-white pages.) $750: SOLD to Comcav. Thanks William! Exceptional 1952 Ace pre-code horror gem. Ken Rice cover. Art by Mike Sekowsky, Vince Alascia and Jim McLaughlin. Some nice writing. Difficult to own with only eight in census. Single second highest with only one graded higher.
