  1. Okay that's it, guess which book I'm buying next. Keep them coming, I love them.
  2. Very nice. Hopefully one day I can complete a low grade run of Marvel Mystery.
  3. Once again Old Guy comes through for me on a few hard to find moderns. I just hope I can return the favour one day. Super guy that I owe big time.
  4. I also had the board give me no higher than a 9.0 grades on books that came back 9.4 and 9.6, so they are always correct. I can see one and maybe another spine stress line. And if that's it (and I'm not saying it is), then the book could still get a 9.4. That's good to know because I might send it in for grading. I also own a slabbed 9.2 copy and its hard to see any difference between the two.
  5. Just one and unfortunately the consensus from the boards was that this was a 9.0 at best.
  6. Nochips, that's a beautiful TTA. While I've seen alot of GA Big Apple books for sale here and there, this is one of the few Silver Agers I've come across. Are there full runs of early Silver Age Marvels and DCs from the Big Apple collection? Anyone seen others, and are they as nice as this TTA? Enquiring minds want to know! Not as nice but still a nice cover.
  7. Awesome book. I am considering building a run of high grade SA Avengers issues.
  8. Nochips, Very nice book. They should bring back the split covers.
  9. Just a shout out to Brent at QualityComix for hooking me up with this treasure. Reasonable price and a pleasure to deal with.
  10. What number or issue is that? Annual, Canadian edition? Now I must buy one of those.
  11. Love those Russian covers, talk about a trip through time. Issue #33 is my favorite, super Bill Everett cover. West do you have a decent copy of the scarce pre-Atlas (Timely of course) issue #32? I plan to pick up a low grade copy shortly just because its so hard to find. Also, do you figure that interest levels for super-hero type books (specifically Timely, and Atlas) were at an all-time low in the late 40's or in the mid 50's?
  12. Yes I have no shame and any chance I can get to show these, well I just can't resist. Since they are mine as of today's Heritage auction and this is the Golden Age section
  13. Cool story as well. First he freezes a guy to death and then he pants a bunch of bad guys. The back of the comic has a full page ad for the Human Torch #1 in black and white.
  14. Wasn't very expensive and even though it is low grade I still consider it to be one of my prize books. Have to love those 65 year old books. I think Metro has another copy available at the same grade.
  15. While I have shown this in other thread's it just came in the mail today from our friends at Metropolis and I have always wanted to join the party. No as high grade as your beauties but it is in one piece and in solid condition. I love the smell of that old newsprint.
  16. Props out to my peeps Old Guy for coming through in the clutch again when the modern issue madness is upon us. Hunted down some hard to find copies that I enjoyed tremendously. Two .
  17. Very nice cover and great colors. Ever think about resubbing that one after looking at round #8 in the grading contest?
  18. RRO, Monteroso, etc . That's mostly Kirby's work isn't it? How he switched gears from kooky pre-hero stories to the classic SA stuff is pretty cool. Something must have inspired him.
  19. Old Guy for hooking me up with a few moderns issues again that were in short supply. Two
