Here ya go, Brad! I didn't even see this before I made my post. A girl purchasing comics in the early 40's is an incredible story. Unique for her day I'm sure.

Where can I read the history behind some of these pedigree's like Okajima? I think sailer boy has different ideas for Major Woody.

Centaur Dude, Never saw that cover before, just outstanding. GA has that rare mystique we will probably never see again. It just blows my mind when a book gets a scarce rating that suggests that there are less than 20 copies still around. What's the rating on this book?

I tell you every time I see an old label I think resub it. For a GA book that is about as nice of 8.0 as I've seen in a while. Perfect PQ, super nice staples. Care to share the graders notes? I assume that BLC chip is what is keeping it down?

Just picked up a book that details 50 years of Marvel Comics and they have a few reprinted pages of early Sub-Mariner stuff in color and I must say that Everett's art is fantastic. He can depict a scene like a fog filled dock and you feel like you are actually in the moment. Outstanding.

I agree with both of you guys. I am trying to stay focused on keys going forward as I think this will be the best investment in the long term. I really don't want to be looking at my non-keys two years down the road, thinking about selling them and wishing I had spent money on keys instead.

There is one 5.0 on Comiclink for I think $3,200-$3,600 bucks. I'm assuming that's on the high side but not too bad a price for a great Marvel SA key.

I have been looking at these in mid to high grade (5.0-8.0) and it seems like you can pick these up for fairly decent prices. I know this series stopped for a reason but how do people feel about these as a collectable? Undervalued, overvalued, little interest in these long term? Did we see any significant price jumps before or after the movie? I am looking at possibly buying at least the #1 issue in mid grade just as a keep sake.
