If I wasn't so tired, I'd have taken pics of the other 100 books that arrived yesterday This year I'm gunning for a full s/s set of Grendel 1-3 (1st series), then 1-24 color set (but getting Bernie Meirault might be tough), Epic Illustrated 1-30 (that's going to take a few years), and a full Twisted Tales and Alien Worlds, E-Man 1-12 (First Comics). I need to complete my Mage Hero Discovered run though, and in duplicate. I really need to resub the sketch issue #1

This series goes at the VERY top of my recommend must reading. ABOVE The Watchmen, Long before DARK KNIGHT....this is what you should be reading. And lookie...a double cover on issue #4! Sweet.

I'm not certain what I missed on that #142 that it's an 8.5....I honestly thought that was a 9.4 as well

HUGE giant 40 oz shout out to Joe Pierson for making this happen for me. Like Thorne and Corben, I put Brunner right there at the top of some bronze age masters. A lot of the "newer guys" are completely unaware of some of these artists and their contribution to our hobby. I put Frazetta, Thorne, Brunner and Corben in that same "personal masters" class. And now, thanks to the signature series program, I can lay claim to the top 3 "FRANKS" in our field. 1) Frank Frazetta 2) Frank Thorne 3) Frank Brunner Coincidently, I was able to have dinner with Brunner about 2 years back after a NYC show, he was a guest of the CGC forum dinner. Me, Borock, Brunner and my buddy Jim at the same table...what a great night to talk shop.

Not sure why the one got an 8.0 It presents like a 9.6 from the front. Dirty back ..?
