He was planning on auctioning off his Captain Marvel set so that'll be part of it. As I believe that they would be in high demand regardless, I'm sure anyone interested would know about them.

I agree with Sean here. At my first local show back in the late 80s, I spent like $500 on McFarlane Spider-man where in retrospect, I should have bought bronze age keys as they were relatively cheap back then. Oh well, learning experience but I did fine after a few duds. -

It depends how you are returning. If you're going through the land border, I would ask the vendor for an invoice (signed amount on a business card works). However, I always just go through YVR airport and customs at the airport generally just take my valuation, as it's always over the limit and I always pay. I generally declare in the thousands so they don't really question me. If you are flying into Toronto or Montreal, get receipts, as they are more picky. -

All but the Kingdom Come comics came from the Calgary Expo. I have always bought high grade comics since I've been collecting so it's not hard for me to identify the books I want. I wouldn't say that these were difficult to find but the prices may not be at the comfort level of a lot of buyers. I just know what range I can expect them to come back so I'm fine paying the prices while others may not. xoxo greggy

You should have flown down to hand deliver them.

Official Canadian Newsstand Cover Price V****** Thread
greggy replied to davidpg's topic in Copper Age Comic Books
I wasn't specifically looking for them but I buy them when they are really nice. It was from a regular toy and comic guy from Winnipeg who was from the other room. I've been buying from him for years, as he has a lot of unread mid 70s and later stock that are reasonably priced. -

Joe got on an earlier flight than scheduled so he's home now. He'll provide us with details when he has info to share.

Joey is going to speak with his wife on Tuesday, as Thomas told her to call him if anything happened with him so maybe he'll have more details after he speaks with her.

RIP Thomas I was with Joey in our hotel in Calgary when his wife texted him from his phone to call her so it was a shock for both of us.
