  3. Ooooh... Franka Potente.... Game over. She's the perfect Meru.
  4. Hey Mind MGMT Agents! Help my wife and I settle a fun debate: Who should play Meru in the movie? Cocktails are flowing and we are having a great conversation here, but I need your input! Names thrown out so far (picture all with red hair ) Tilda Swinton Schuyler Fisk Uma Thermon Scar Jo ...your thoughts? (Sorry to hijack, didn't think this was worth it's own thread)
  5. +1. I gotta go with Jimmy on this one, huge difference in viewership in Netflix and prime time TV / major motion picture.
  6. I'm sorry. I'm gonna have to judge. That's great work Thanks!
  7. Cool! Gotta admit it's weird posting original art, but it's pretty cool there's a thread for it!
  8. Been experimenting with color schemes and watercolors. (don't judge )
  9. revolver is a must read +1. Loving the Verve stuff in MGMT, cool to see creative process of Kindt. (Super Spy also rocks)
  10. Just got a package from Hector and I'm impressed! He went above and beyond as a seller: the grades are spot on, they were shipped fast and secure, and he even through in some awesome reading material! Everyone loves free comics, but this wasn't just one freebie, Hector through in an entire run of 4 books! That's class. Do yourself a favor, buy from Jsilverjanet!!!
  11. Got a shipment of Thor books today from Ed, and im ridiculously impressed! Shipped very fast and secure, plus the grading is right where you want it. I'll have to double check, but I'm pretty sure some even came in Mylar, which is huge bonus points in my book! Moral of the story...buy from Ed, he's a top-notch seller and makes the boards a better place.
  12. Just read 16 twice...no idea what the hell is going on! Very good. Definitely left the door wide open to take this anywhere next issue.
  13. It's true, free books rock! (thumbs u Thanks again!

  17. So bummed that the Retailer Incentives are spoken for by my LCShops...by retailers Not for sale too many employees are big fans. They look amazing though!
  18. Love that picture! ...still waiting on Vol. 2 to show up in the mail...
  19. I tried to read this, I mean really tried to read it, but I just couldn't. I love the weird and ridiculous, but this was just bad. They tried way too hard. Shame too, because Flannigan is pretty damn talented. However, I would agree with you that this book might get some heat from TV pushing, but probably wont last long. I just cant see this building steady readership. Sorry but Flannigan is awful. Read The Widening Gyre....It's to bad because I love the villain Onomatopoeia. I did read Widening Gyre, and Cacophany, and I didn't think Flannigan was that bad actually. Obviously not my favorite artist, but he held his own. The art from Cryptozoic Man is very detailed, and probably took him forever, its just too bad the story sucked. It would be cool to see Flannigan do the art for something that wasnt written by one of his buddies.

  21. How so? $28 to slab. $39 sale price...I'm not seeing the heat. because modern slabs sell for $15-20 Why bother getting them graded if you're losing money on them then??? i know right? I will never understand the logic of taking a comic right off the shelf, sending it in for slabbing (with the additional $10 for Fast Track) just to try to flip it immediately. You don't even know if the heat will last long enough to be able to cover the investment. Cover price + shipping to Florida or convention admission price for dropoff + slabbing fees + Fast Track + return shipping + eBay and Paypal fees = not much profit. I'm guessing most people are sending in 50 books with a pre-screen of 9.8? In that case you totally waste shipping costs. (thumbs u
