Its at Image book with a lower (by comparision) print run? I struggle with this. If this was the case, why wouldnt people read it digitally for cover price, rather than spend several times cover for a book they don't know if they'll like? Or wait for the trade? So the big $ for the variants is from curious readers? Pretty sure a lot of sales are to other sellers, not people wanting to read a good comic. This book is hot because it's a late 2013 Image release...plain and simple. Lower print run + past speculation success from Image = No brainer I just don't think it will last, thats all. Hope it does though

Translation... I didn't buy any Manifest Destiny when it first came out. As a professionally trained historian, I think the use of history as a backdrop for a story is brilliant and love the way they did it. Not true, bought more #1s for MD than any other 2013 image title. LOVED issue 1, but 3 issues in and I'm feeling different, that's all.

And that's fine, I figured most people would disagree with me. I just think there's some factors to consider before people invest too much into this series. I'm sitting on a stack just like everyone else here, and I'm enjoying that it's selling above cover, but I wouldn't want to be the one sitting on a $500+ RRP for this title.

Yeah, I'm sorry, but I'm not buying this hype. Comparing this to EoW or Saga?! What? How many people have read all 3 issues? Love the art, concept is cool, but this book is not that good in my opinion. I agree, speculators are ready for the next hot RRP, but that doesn't translate to sustainability for this series. I'm sure I'll take a lotta for this post, but I'm just not buying all the hype: image expo excitement is still fresh, speculators (myself included) are looking for a hit after the bleak winter season, but I don't think this'll be it...it's simply not very good of a book. Rant over...cheers, here's to all my sets selling quickly on eBay before people actually open this book.

I'm not seeing it today though, looks like eBay is flooded with #1s right now. Congrats to those who hit quick, but I can't see this lasting too long. Someone is selling 3-packs of #1s right now, tons of them, and there doesn't seem to be much action. I think the wave of success is crashing quick.

Shipment showed up damaged to the LCS I checked today Just read it. This is a beautifully constructed book, very high quality. The art and layouts are stunning. Not too crazy about the real-life naughty X-Men theme, but it's worth another issues.

So jealous. I wish Matt would tell me things...anything.

I've also seriously doubted it, but this issue was very interesting, especially considering Matt does nothing by accident
