  1. Good luck. There's a lot of hope and money riding on TV rumors right now, and I suspect the majority of it will not come to fruition. There are so many stages these projects can fall apart. Definitely true, but Todd has distinct advantages to most tv speculation books: its format is already set...edgy adult humor destined for late night Adult Swim there's no guess work. As long as Ken appears confident to its tv adoption potential, I see no reason why I shouldn't.
  2. Dead wrong with Todd my friend...way too much potential for tv.
  3. I'm not as heavily invested in EoW as most, but I guess id have to disagree. I have no evidence to support my claim here, but I think it will steadily rise...especially considering it's projected to last 50+ issues (or 16 years for those of you counting by Nowhere Men time). It's a top seller from the LCSs in my area. IF (and only if) the book fulfils its 50+ issue projection, I think demand will be slowly driven by the quality of the story, not by tv/movie speculation...kinda like YTLM........kinda.
  4. Same here. Too many covers for me, and the content seems vaguely familiar
  5. Where did you get your wire frame book holder things ? Walmart, theyre 99c a piece. (thumbs u
  6. Just got this in...straight to display in the office
  7. David bought a stack of Battlestar books from me recently, and the transaction was smooth as silk. Great guy to work with, a true asset to the boards!
  8. Totally agree about how annoying the delays are, but I just finished reading 1-6 all at once, and it really is freaking sweet. Even though there was a delay, 6 still flowed perfectly after 5. I'm still hooked
  9. Hence the "I understand creative liberties..." part of my rant. Content doesn't bother me at all, I simply think the delivery of the dialogue is distracting. Sometimes it seems to fit the time period, other times its super modern... = distracting.
  10. DROPPPPPPPPPPPPED. holy #3 was terrible. This book had so much potential, but #2 was a little weak, and #3 was barely readable. Seemed like the writer forgot they were doing a period piece...I understand creative liberties, but the dialogue is just too far fetched for me for the period they set the story in. I find it distracting and it's just hard to buy into. I'm not a hater, I REALLY wanted to love this book, but I can't take it anymore.
  11. Will do. Thanks He said thank him later. Just kidding. I'm being playful. WTTB. EoW is awesome. I couldn't get into Saga. I was lead to believe it was better than Star Wars, but I won't out the boardie cause he's my friend. Same here. I couldn't even get through the 1st issue of Saga. I guess we are in the minority. Fear not, you're not alone! I also could not finish issue #1. Art is beautiful, but man, the dialogue was a shart of a mess. EoW for Life!
  12. Welcome to the Boards! Awesome seeing new members going straight to the EoW thread! This book is so freaking good!
  13. Agree he's overhyped........but Hawkeye is still a great book Completely agree. Hawkeye is the only thing of his I've ever liked. But man, is Hawkeye good or what? SO GOOD! Not just his writing, the art fits the book perfectly (even though it's constantly changing )
  14. Agree he's overhyped........but Hawkeye is still a great book
