  2. it's a bit silly, seeing often times a OW or OWW book pressed & resubbed will come back with White pages... but generally speaking a W designation is a bit better regarded. I get the sense that there are many collectors severely discount for non-W pages, more who discriminate for Cream or C/OW pages, even more who do so for Light Tan and a big bunch (majority?) who will avoid brittle pages (which means it's falling apart). Myself, I discount a bit at cream and avoid Light Tan or below...
  3. I stand by my grades and demand a recount due to numerous voting irregularities.
  4. Hey - I sent it a ten hours ago… not that I’m in danger of disrupting the leaderboard…
  5. There was a hole sketch on SNL about this - bunch of bond’s foes talking -“yeah, if you catch him just shoot him”…
  6. This is a “never sell” … my “dad book” is an ASM #23 cgc8.0 cow… we paid $5.25 for it in 1983-Ish at a very low key auction during the Buffalo comic convention…
  7. I bought a book recently from a well respected dealer. Book appears to be a solid 4.0 but on an interior page has a small rip and stain as seen below what do you think about the impact on the grade? Is it no big deal? The rip and stain are confined to that page. thanks in advance
  8. 4.0 as is, 5.0 w/ good C&P Nice one, Tamir!
  9. Wow - there was a big difference between my guesses and what CGC gave Shocked that CGC came back so inaccurately!
  10. A good press will get out the water issue and might push you to 4.5/5.0 land
  11. You definitely need a press and clean and I think you can get to a 5.5 maybe even a 6.0 if the Russian judge is on his lunch break
  12. This calendar will be applicable in 2025… worth waiting for!
  13. inspiring as always I'm also (slowly but surely) culling down the herd while trying to build an ASM 1-100 run + mostly keys type of collection...
  14. same exact book, same exact condition scored a 8.5 as part of the Promise Collection....
  15. @joeypost can remove some of this stuff safely and not have it considered as restoration. I had a Batman #121 with a grease pencil number on it that he removed without a trace. It was as part of having the book pressed. there are other folks who can do restoration - but that will severely impact the value of the book (Joey might do that as well - you'd have to ask him) if the writing has bled through the paper, you would need to get restoration which might not be worth it
