  1. Always liked the Marx bros movies. Took Groucho's name from one (can't remember which). Just always liked that one
  2. I sold one for 160 plus 7 shipping on eBay oct 6. Guess it depends on how many up on eBay at a given time.
  3. A dealer once told me at cons in the 70's you'd see action 1's and tec 27's for sale. He said he once passed up detective comics 1-26 because the dealer had already sold 27. Said 1-26 were tied in a bundle with some twine and the seller only wanted a two to three hundred bucks for them. Imagine
  4. I picked up a house of secrets 92 a few weeks ago for $300. Pretty nice copy. About fine/very fine. A buddy really wanted a copy. Sold it to him the next day for $350. Didn't think I would miss it but now I'm realizing I probably won't get one in that grade (for that price) again. I guess I can hope.
  5. Grades in. Might be helpful to know what time period the slabs were graded (if old label/new label etc). Cgc grading has changed at times.
  6. Great book, fast and secure shipping and a great price! Appreciate it. Thanks- John.
  7. Hi, not sure if this is the right thread but just wanted to ask if it's worthwhile to list some monster magazines on here. I picked up a huge collection of famous monsters of filmland, near complete run of fangorias, dozens of other titles of monster mags from the 50's through current issues. Was a guys lifetime collection. I'm keeping a few but would like to sell the majority. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, John.
  8. Was looking forward to this movie. Liked it but it could have been so much better! Editing and story all over the place. Thought the acting was solid. Afleck was great as batman- best so far imo. Looking forward to the individual movies. Get John Carpenter or Ridley Scott in there. They let the movies build up and breathe.
  9. Sold a near mint copy of #1 a month ago for 40. Hope it wasn't a mistake.
  10. Bought some books from John and they were shipped extremely fast and well packaged. Appreciate it!
  11. Alex waited patiently an extra week for payment- much appreciated! Great books and seller! Thanks, John.
  12. This is all after the fact. About fleecing? How about when the Seller puts a book on ebay on bids and it sells for a fraction of what it's worth? I guess that's not fleecing, right? It's the game we all play. Buyers took that chance based on reports online. That's their decision.
  13. A friend of mine bought 4 and I bought the last 5 at a hot topic in my area. He sold 4 at around 170 a piece yesterday. I sold 4 of the 5 for about 160 each yesterday. We took the chance that they wouldn't gain value. One of his buyers, after buying, paying and sending a message as to when he would ship- hours later asked for a refund. I've bought stuff and regretted it but you have to man up and deal with it. You win some, you lose some. Too many punks on ebay.
  14. Thanks Matt. Quick payment and communication. Appreciate it.
