Most important mutant related Bronze Age books
jason4 replied to c_mkv's topic in Bronze Age Comic Books
I think your list covers the Bronze Age keys but.... Hulk 180...maybe 182. If you’re good with 181 like I am then... X-men 134 (I would wait until that movie flops hard) 137 141. Maybe 108 as 1st Byrne but meh. Amazing adventures 11 (1st fuzzy beast) -
91% is great so far....now let’s hope it is as good as they’re saying. They said venom sucked and I loved it so we’ll see. I just really hope it makes end game even more anticipated and that the skrulls are cool.

For those wondering the review embargo lifts today...1st review is in from real critic on rt...and it’s negative. Despite the controversy I’m still rooting for a good movie here. I will feel bad for whoever paid big $$$ for her speculation keys if this is a big flop. This is why I think of you miss out on a book and then it skyrockets before the movie hits that you would be better off waiting until the dust settles before buying. Combined with brie’s Comments recently...this could kill the values on captain marvel keys if the review score is 50 or below.

That is just the best book for sig series. The red cover with the yellow label on top. Wish I had gotten that one signed too. Beautiful book there. -

I sold it to my brother ( kept in family) as it was only a 9.0. That book is cool though especially in 9.8. -

Feels so good to be done I’m done collecting Spider-Man. These are the books I decided to keep for various reasons and I decided against a full run. Got a 1st or second appearance of everybody I cared about. Got some cash and some keys already with the extra $$$ Going to get more mcu related keys and spec books now -
Added this ms marvel 18 this week to get the first full appearance of mystique for my X-men related collection. I don’t know I feel like it’s complete but I might change my mind some day. Group shot...maybe I’ll add sabretooth and sinister down the line.

Lol when they said hulk 181 was a silver age comic

This sale might make the comic market/bubble finally explode. Moon Knight...never that popular...and no movie announcements at all. I just don’t get this one. I was thinking of getting in the club at some point but it’s so expensive even at mid grades. I do like him but wow edit I take it back....Feige said he is coming to mcu they just don’t know when.

Has anyone read 5? I heard it was a doombot and possibly not an “actual” doom appearance. -
Any thoughts on St. Marks Comics in NYC? Will be visiting NYC shortly.

No it’s in the stony brook university student center. It’s off of Nichols rd. I have a feeling eBay will be cheaper too but I just want to be around comics lol. Also bringing the kids first time -
I think most people just couldn’t get into the character because of how it looks. Looks like an elephant and pig offspring to me. I also challenge the “importance” of this book. If you ask 100 people who is Cerebus 100 people will likely say they don’t know. Just asked someone who grew up in the 80’s and they said “what? Don’t ask me weird questions” I read that the writer did inspire others but I bet you they would have been inspired by someone else anyway if not for this comic. In the future the few fans Cerebus had will be gone and values will drop while wolverine will always be huge. I’d have to doubt we will be getting a Cerebus movie or revival. Just my opinion. Even people who are well versed in comics haven’t heard of it.

Greatest supervillain of all time any universe
jason4 replied to Hollywood1892's topic in Comics General
I like when someone goes against the norm and brings down the status quo of joker always being rated 1. My favorites are Thanos, (which autocorrected to thanks 3 times 😡)!Magneto Dr doom, green goblin, and venom. Joker would be in top ten tho. -
What's new in your Silver Age collection this week

Impressive trio. I thought groot only said “I am groot”. When did he become like the groot from guardians movies? Is there another key for him? -
This Week in Your Bronze Age Collection!!
jason4 replied to TupennyConan's topic in Bronze Age Comic Books
Recent pickup never posted: white pages only had to sell most of my bronze Spidey run to get it But that’s ok I kept the keys. -
Yea same thing with albedo 2. Respect for that book because it is EXPENSIVE . But me personally and I’d wager most people who are into comics wouldn’t pay 5 dollars to have it in their collection unless obviously for resale. I watched ninja turtles in the late 80s early 90s as a kid and I wasn’t impressed by him even as a kid...a ninja bunny? Maybe I missed something ?

That was cool to see. I’d always known about it but never actually saw it like that. Poor punisher and I think it’s underrated because of the magazine format. Otherwise it should’ve been worth more at this point.

I actually had at one point 4 long boxes of the most drekky Drek ever seen and at a yard sale some guy offered me 100$ (!) for the lot. I looked through and did not see anything worth squat. He didn’t even flip through them at all he said he just wanted reading material for his kids. I don’t think everyone out there knows that some comics are worth less than the paper they’re printed on.

I got a response today on my book being shipped. They apologized for the oversight and all is good. My first artgerm
