My third fantastic four issue I own. It’s funny...I’ve been collecting for 25 years but only started see the awesomeness of the early fantastic four books last year! I’ve been missing out but trying to catch up. So many good 1st appearances of other characters and villains with some great covers along the way. Will be reading them online as well as I get them in hand.

Do you have any other books you might consider selling to get one of the big SA keys? I would personally not be able to give up my hulk 181 to get those but that’s because wolverine is one of my top 3 favs. I also am not so sure those characters mentioned are more iconic than wolverine...I would only put Spider-Man above him character wise in marvel with iron man being the closest of those mentioned. I guess You gotta collect em all

I don’t get the big rise on 134...how can people be confident in this movie after the trailers and the atrocity they did to apocalypse? I have no confidence in dark Phoenix right now other than her classic history in comics. $1000? If the movie bombs...

I like fantastic four 18, 1st super skrull. It’s flying under the radar even with the skrulls entering the mcu...with Disney now having his rights I don’t think he will lag too far behind. Even without the movies...super skrull is a great villain.

I emailed them at the end of January and again this past Sunday...I check my spam folder and still nothing. Someone on their Twitter (artgerms) is also asking. Order was originally placed 1/26. Status says unfulfilled. I just wish they would send me an message back or something saying they are sending it soon. I asked today for a refund or the book.

So I purchased a raw captain marvel 1 from his official site...says release date was in January. I have yet to receive mine and inquiries I send them I get no response. What gives? I hope this is not another comicXposure type scam

Any Long Island New Yorkers go to this last year? I’m really excited as it’s close to home and maybe I have a chance to snag some silver age books there. Plus easier to bring my kids to than NYCC...that would have been crazy..

I think we are just getting started here...they haven’t even dropped the first hint at the X-men or fantastic four in the mcu yet. Spider-Man never stops gaining long-term but it’s probably had the biggest percent boost. Lets see those Avengers Endgame credits scenes...maybe we get Galactus...dr doom? Wolverine? Who knows... it’s gonna be epic.

4th world rocks...I just collect mostly silver age and the selection for that seems better at tor. 4th world is better for everything else and they also do great signings and free comic book day is great there. I have gotten some nice things at both.

Hello, so im getting “floater insurance” for my collection through my home owners insurance company (it was the best deal I found) and they told me my excel sheet listing values that I calculated from sold listings on eBay wasn’t good enough (eBay closed listings are not reliable information they said) and they told me to get an “comic book expert” to give an evaluation on letterhead. Does anyone know how I can get the collection appraised and by whom? Does anyone do it for free? Is MyComicshop a good free option that will do it on letterhead? Thank you.

I’ve been to a lot of comic stores in New York and on Long Island (not this one) and even other states and it always seems to be the same...major overpricing on old books. I’ve given up on trying this. The only place I once in a while try is Tor comics Long Island in Holbrook. They sometimes give a decent deal if you buy more than 1 book and their pricing while not as cheap as eBay or cons is the best of the places I’ve been.

I’ve had this for a while at it’s the grail of my collection despite having the lowest grade. Spider-Man story is complete or I wouldn’t have bought it...missing the other pages and I just like the way it presents better than most ragged but complete .5 or 1.0’s.

Makes me feel a lot better about my lowly 8.5. Lol that thing is fugly they could rip the cover off at least and maybe have it present a little better as cover less.

Hello .. so I have some nice books and I was thinking of turning some of them into great books by trading up at conventions (namely New York comic con or anything in Long Island area you know of). i want to avoid eBay selling and then buying to avoid the fees and the hassle etc... so my question is are dealers typically willing to do this? For example, I give you my fantastic four 52 cgc 4.0, you give me the 7.0 on the wall and I pay you cash for the difference? also what about trading a ss book for an equal value blue label book (I have a 7.5 Spider-Man 121 with Conway, Romita, and lee and I think I might prefer a blue label 9.2 which looks to be worth about the same $800) Would a dealer do a trade like this straight up? Do you know any dealers in particular who do? Thanks.

As others have stated...sell a bunch of books to get one is possible. You might even find a well presenting .5 like I did which is only a .5 because it’s missing pages outside of the Spider-Man story. I would not feel like my collection was complete without this book. I’ve done this with multiple keys and it’s just a great feeling to have the books you really want in a small collection vs a huge pile of books you could do without and not bat an eye. Just recently I did this and got a key I never thought I would own....1st dr doom. Sold 50 Spider-Man books from 1-100 range that were not major keys (I kept those) and sold an autographed Pink Floyd guitar I had and boom I got The book without a dollar spent. I will not miss the 1st kangaroo or the 8th doc ock etc. when I know dr. Doom is now mine.
