  1. I've got that one with a nice big signature of Betty Lou Yount on the cover, along with the red #2. Nice book.
  2. Kudos to Mica for quick payment on a reader to high grade hulk lot.
  3. Kudos to October for a nice JIM and ASM....now I've got to check the page count.
  4. Why would you want to risk going from a C to an A with a press job.
  5. Kudos back to you. Those swampies were purty for the price.
  6. Kudos to Nikos for the original GGA for guessing a group of 7 grades. Very fun. thanks
  7. I already PM'd asking for a price....no word yet except throw out the guide.
  8. I have to admit that I really like the cover, being different from the norm of thing. The interior is hideous. I'll have to pull it out and read it now, just to feel the pain.
  9. I think this is one of those books that can slip below the radar now and then. I bought a VG+ (advertised as a VG/F - close enough) copy thru the old Comic Source magazine about 10 years ago for $20, and it had been listed for at least two issues when I decided to buy it. A few months later I'm hearing prices of $75 and up for a copy in VGish shape. Over the top war stories inside too. The fact that Horrific #3 or #4 I believe was copied from this cover makes it more of a key in terms of classic covers than most people realize.
  10. Glad they arrived safely....and kudos back..... Does that mean you're interested in the other Batman and Detective books I have set aside
  11. If that's the one from ebay, how does it look? I thought about bidding on that one but it went past my impulse buy range and I was wondering about the condition. haven't received it yet. I still need to pay. Said it was a VG and if it is, I'll be happy. Over guide, but a precursor to the horrific cover that is so sought after. Way undervalued, but I didn't realize it when I sold my previous copy for 3x guide. I've seen these sell for over $150 in this G/VG range.
  12. You guys always kill me with these beauties. I have a hard time cracking the $300 barrier when I buy books, even though I buy a lot of them. I really need to set the bar higher and just buy less frequently.
  13. I sold one of these for 3x guide ($50) about 10 years ago....so now I go and buy another copy for just under $70 How the world turns
  14. Nice pick up. That would look nice next to my #1
  15. Some of the issues in the 100-150 have very minor water damage, otherwise 9.4-9.6 condition. Kill me now Anfield I might just sell you my personal copies and keep these.
  16. List some of those grading forum books and you might be in luck I'm getting there. I think the first to be listed will be the Xmen from 1-150. Some of the issues in the 100-150 have very minor water damage, otherwise 9.4-9.6 condition. It's hit or miss whether there is any small water damage on the earlier issues. Some very nice Steranka and Adams Issues though.
  17. Whoever purchases the next 5 nice books from me gets the internal packaging back from my JeffB purchase. Indestructable..... Kudos
  18. and an impulse purchase for $22. likely the 2nd little dot appearance as the first was in Sad Sack #1?? this is one month later. I love the infinity cover.
  19. And one of the five sweet books purchased from the EC BIN thread. Sweet Feldstein cover.
  20. $30 at the LCS tonight. It looked like a nice copy. so I pulled it down. Probably a Fine min, marked as a VG and priced at the non fox title western thrillers. All the stars aligned. I never get that kind of deal at the LCS. Western Thrillers #1 Fox GGA inside. Bullets through a man's neck, a womans shoulder/chest and a woman knifing a man in the back, along with can can girls....
  21. yep, that's the one that I now have top census 9.2 and it's a sweet book. I remember when you posted that one....I might have even bid against you, but wasn't watching the auction closely. The image I have is over 200,000 so I can't post the decent scan that GA supplied. Same with the fight 41. When I get a new scanner, I'll try.
  22. Oh yes, please do. yes women drawing GA GGA Self Portraits
  23. OH YEAH, Kudos to GA collectible for the top census old lable Jumbo 82 in 9.2 Big Apple Copy and the Lost Valley Fight 41 in 8.0 4th highest in census and undergraded (it's at least an 8.5). They are sweet. Get back sheena butt in your face on 82 and major full frontal bondage on the Fight 41. If only my scanner worked on slabs, you'd all be drooling. Wish I'd bought the other ones now......but it's just money.
